Gauselmann Group receives license to run virtual slots in Germany

The Gauselmann Group has announced that it can now make available its virtual slots games to online players through its Merkur brand in the country after receiving the go-ahead from the state administrative office of Saxony-Anhalt. The license to operate will enable the Eastern Westphalian gambling giant to fully capitalize on the relatively new online gaming market in Germany and offer top-notch gambling experiences for gamers there.

The company received the license just after one year of filing, making theirs the fifth given by the state administrative office. With the license, it will be offering slot machine games under the domain name www.merkur-spiel.de thus providing “first class gaming fun” online.

Gauselmann Group believes that it got the license as a result of its compliance with the requirements to operate virtual slot machines set out in the State Treaty on Gambling. It is one of the country’s early adopters of “LUGAS”, the cross-state gambling supervision system. Its virtual slot games have also been tested and found to meet all conditions.
