Notre Dame beat Clemson in huge NCAAF upset
After a spectacular game, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish managed to beat the NCAA football betting favorite Clemson Tigers 47-40. It’s the first time that Notre Dame have won against a #1-ranked squad since 1993’s “Game of the Century” against Florida State.
Kyren Williams was essential in Notre Dame’s victory, running 140 yards and scoring three touchdowns. The defensive team was also on point, sacking Clemson’s QB and effectively shutting down their offensive team.
US betting sites overwhelmingly favored Clemson going into the match. Notre Dame, though, are now on a 13-game winning streak and ranked 2nd in the Atlantic Conference. Clemson remain at the top with a 7-1 overall record.

West Ham beat Fulham after penalty shocker
In the English Premier League, West Ham United took on Fulham at the London Stadium in a tough and hotly contested match. Possession was almost evenly split through the full 90 minutes, with neither team scoring at all. Finally, Tomas Soucek scored a goal for West Ham at 90+1’.
Things looked grim for Fulham after the Soucek goal, but the Premier League betting underdog were not giving up so easily. In their counterattack, a foul on Tom Cairney gave Fulham a penalty, and Ademola Lookman was tasked with taking the spot kick, facing West Ham’s goalie, Lukasz Fabianski.
However, instead of trying to smash the ball into the back of the net, Lookman opted for a Panenka penalty instead. When this comes off, it looks great, but if they fail, the player is left very red faced. Unfortunately for Lookman, he suffered the latter, with Fabianski easily catching the ball.
This missed penalty cost Fulham an invaluable point, while the win saw the Hammers move up to 11th at the time of writing.

Sharks defeat Cheetahs in Super Rugby Unlocked
The Durban Sharks defeated the Bloemfontein Cheetahs in the Super Rugby Unlocked league. It was a remarkable display from the Sharks, a favorite at rugby betting sites. The final score was 19-13 for the Sharks, who’ve bested the Cheetahs in their last three meetings.
For the Sharks, Curwin Bosch had a spectacular game, scoring four penalties and a conversion. It was Madosh Tambwe who took the game for the Sharks, though, with a successful try after 76 minutes. The Cheetahs, match underdogs for most African betting sites, did put up a decent fight, but they ultimately fell to their impressive opponents.
The win means that the Sharks have won three of their four games, picking up 13 points, meaning they are a point and a place above the Cheetahs in fourth.

Atlético Madrid hammer Cádiz 4-0 in La Liga
In Spain’s first-division football league, La Liga, Atlético Madrid soundly defeated Cádiz in an emphatic 4-0 win. The Madrid-based team dominated much of the game, with over 67% possession. After early goals from João Félix and Marcos Llorente at 8’ and 22’ respectively, Cádiz found themselves 2-0 down at half-time.
Any hopes the away side had of winning the second-half were dashed as Atlético came out in force. Within six minutes, they had scored a third goal, thanks to Luis Suárez. Crushed by the growing difference, Cádiz seemed to grow smaller in the second-half as they looked to do some damage limitation. This allowed Atlético to retain firm control over the rest of the match, and the icing was put on the cake as Felix scored his second of the game in the 90th minute to complete the 4-0 win.
The game leaves Atlético sitting at the top of the La Liga table at the time of writing. Atletico face stern competition from city rivals Real Madrid for the title, but punters and soccer betting sites will be quietly confident that Atleti can mount a solid and sustained title challenge this season.

San Lorenzo down Estudiantes in Liga Copa Profesional
The Liga Copa Profesional continues down in Argentina as San Lorenzo defeated Estudiantes 2-0 at Pedro Bidegain Stadium in Group E. The match saw goals from Mariano Peralta Bauer and Ángel Romero, and marks San Lorenzo’s first victory this season and means they now sit at the top of the group after two games.
The first-half was hotly-contested, with football betting favorite Estudiantes edging possession of the ball. However, San Lorenzo’s Bauer delivered a brilliant goal after 33 minutes, which meant the Buenos Aires team were ahead at the break.
In the second-half, a foul gave San Lorenzo a free-kick that Ángel Romero turned into their second goal. It was an upset for South American betting sites, which favored Estudiantes over San Lorenzo, which just goes to show that Liga Copa Profesional betting is not always as clear cut as it may seem.

Wallabies manage miracle victory against All Blacks
The Australian national rugby team have managed an incredible victory over New Zealand, getting up 24-22 in the fourth game of the Bledisloe Cup series. The Wallabies were in desperate need of a victory following two losses and a draw to the historically dominant Kiwi squad. It constitutes coach Dave Rennie’s first win with the team.
The game, held in Brisbane, was hotly contested throughout. Both teams received red cards, finishing the game with just 14 players each, and this lack of discipline ultimately played into the Wallabies’ hands as, just last week, the All Blacks destroyed the Wallabies in a humiliating 43-5 defeat.
This time, Australian betting sites were in for a shock. Taniela Tupou’s successful try gave the Wallabies the edge, making the score 24-15 with five minutes left on the clock. The All Blacks remained hopeful—until a brutal tackle from Marika Koroibete shut down Tupou Vaa’s 78’ attempted try.
