LA Rams dominate Chicago Bears in NFL Week 7

The Los Angeles Rams managed to come out on top against the Chicago Bears in week seven of the 2020 NFL season. The Rams dominated the first three quarters and went on the beat the Bears 24-10 at the SoFi Stadium.

While Chicago managed a better passing average than the Rams, they ultimately fell short in total yards gained and, more importantly, on the scoreboard. The Bears had two inception throws and only racked up a possession time of 27 minutes with the ball, while their offense allowed four sacks in 61 plays.

The Rams remained in control throughout their 68 plays, managing 371 total yards. Furthermore, the Los Angeles offense allowed only one sack and fumble in the entire fixture, while they also got 24 first downs compared to the Bears’ 14.

Both sides now have five wins and two losses under their belts for the NFL season. Next up for the Rams is a trip to Miami to face the Dolphins, while the Bears welcome the New Orleans Saints.

Liverpool to host West Ham in EPL Matchweek 7

West Ham United travel to Anfield this weekend as they take on reigning English Premier League champions Liverpool in their seventh fixture of the season. The Hammers have performed relatively well in their last two games, drawing against both Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City. Sources say David Moyes is delighted with his side’s defensive effort and hopes it will continue.

EPL betting sites place Liverpool as the game’s favorites, owing largely to their dominant home record against West Ham. The Reds currently sit in second place in the Premier League table, matching leaders and arch-rivals Everton on 13 points. Liverpool have managed to weather the early storm of losing defensive talisman Virgil van Dijk to a long-term injury and will be desperate to push on as the busy festive schedule nears.

With the squad missing one of its key players, others have had to step up. West Ham need to capitalize on van Dijk’s absence by putting pressure on Liverpool’s makeshift backline, as Aston Villa did in their incredible 7-2 win over the defending champions a few weeks ago.

Patrick Yeboah signs with Medeama SC

Ghanaian football club Medeama SC have announced the signing of left-back Patrick Yeboah. The three-year deal comes ahead of the next Ghana Premier League season. Head coach Samuel Boadu was pleased with the signing, telling reporters that he has big plans for the two-time cup champions’ future.

Yeboah leaves Asante Kotoko and now wears the yellow and mauve shirt ahead of the Medeama’s opening fixture against Great Olympics on November 15. The left-back will look to give his new side a boost straight off the bat, but whether his presence will have an effect on Ghana Premier League betting odds remains to be seen.

Trouble at Real Madrid despite Clasico win

You might think that a win over arch-rivals Barcelona would create a sense of camaraderie in the Real Madrid camp. However, despite beating Barca 3-1 in the latest edition of El Clasico, reports say a lack of unity persists within the squad.

Real Madrid’s captain, Sergio Ramos, recently voiced his displeasure with Isco and his recent poor form. Ramos is also embroiled in a stoush with Marcelo over similar issues.

Isco didn’t back down from the allegations, further fueling the fire. He’s only played two matches for Madrid this season and didn’t feature during the club’s recent fixture with Barcelona. Isco’s status at the club has significantly diminished since Zinedine Zidane took over as manager, while cameras captured him complaining to teammates about his position in the squad.

Perhaps a transfer is now on the cards for the playmaker, or a change in leadership could see him return to his position in the starting XI. Either way, all thus unrest at the Bernabeu could have a significant impact on La Liga betting markets.

Di Maria in line for Argentina recall

Lionel Scaloni, the manager of Argentina’s national football team, said he plans to call Angel Di Maria back into the squad ahead of next month’s World Cup qualifiers.

This comes after Di Maria voiced his objection to missing out on the squad for October’s games against Ecuador and Bolivia. The forward, who plays for Paris Saint-Germain, said he still has something to contribute even though he’s now 32-years-old.

‘El Fideo’ has not played for the national side since appearing in the Copa America last year. If recalled as planned, he would join the squad for the upcoming games against Peru and Paraguay.

Meanwhile, Alexis Mac Allister has been omitted from the Argentina camp for November’s fixtures. Despite recently scoring for Brighton & Hove Albion, the midfielder sat on the bench when La Albiceleste took on Bolivia.

Collingwood ready to part ways with Adam Treloar

Collingwood would like to cut their contract with Adam Treloar ahead of the 2021 Australian Football League season. The decision comes after the star midfielder announced that his family’s move interstate would affect his performance.

Treloar’s wife, Kim Ravaillion, plans to move to Brisbane with their 10-month-old daughter after signing a contract with a new netball club. Treloar had planned to stick with the Magpies until his contract finished in 2025, but the club has offered to subsidize his salary in order to facilitate a transfer.

The 2018 Anzac Medal winner can either request a trade or force Collingwood to accept their contract with him. Whatever he decides, it’ll need to happen quickly.

Matt Henry ruled out of Plunket Shield game with injured thumb

Canterbury and New Zealand bowler Matt Henry won’t play in the upcoming Plunket Shield cricket fixture against Wellington after breaking his thumb. The news comes just before NZ’s international cricket season begins.

The bowler managed to break his thumb during a practice session this week. Club physio Tim Dovbysh believes Henry should return in the next four to six weeks, meaning he’ll miss the Black Caps’ opening T20 clash against the West Indies.
