Betway gains online gambling licence in Sweden
ONLINE bookmaker Betway has secured a licence to operate in Sweden.
The Malta-based sports betting giant is one of several companies to get the green light from the Swedish regulator, Lotteriinspektionen, this week.
Expekt Nordics, Mandalorian Technologies and Tipwin were also granted online gambling licences in the latest round of approvals.
The Stars Group, owner of PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker, got the nod on Monday.
There are now 23 companies with Swedish gambling licences.
The others include Betsson, Kindred Group and Leo Vegas.
Lotteriinspektionen recently revealed that 95 firms had applied for a Swedish gambling licence, including several that run multiple brands.
