Betway receives betting license extension in Nigeria

Betway, a global online betting and gaming brand, has announced the renewal of its Nigerian gambling license from the National Lottery Regulatory Commission in Abuja.

This renewal allows Betway to continue its operations in all 36 states and 774 local government areas in Nigeria for another five years.

The Director General of the Commission, Lanre Gbajabiamila, praised Betway for its high level of compliance with regulations, calling it one of the most compliant betting companies in Nigeria.

Anthony Werkman, speaking on behalf of the Betway brand, expressed gratitude to the Commission for extending the license in Nigeria. He also emphasized that Betway considers regulatory compliance a primary responsibility in every country where it operates.

Chris Ubosi, a Betway director, highlighted the company’s community service initiatives, including donations of relief materials, provision of safe water, donation of sports equipment, and provision of medical finance assistance.
