After their embarrassing 8-1 defeat to Bayern Munich last weekend, 17th-placed FSV Mainz will be looking for a much-improved performance this weekend as they welcome VfL Bochum. Another relegation contender, Bochum are on a three-match losing streak while holding the second-worst defensive record in the Bundesliga. Union Berlin vs Werder Bremen

Saturday, March 16 – 3:30pm CET – Stadion An der Alten Forsterei

Sitting just outside the relegation zone, Union Berlin are looking to break their three-match winless streak this weekend as they welcome Werder Bremen. Similarly out-of-form, the visitors have struggled in recent weeks due to the unavailability of their first choice defence due to injury. While Werder Bremen have been the better side throughout this season, they have lost five of the past six against between the sides and come in as substantial underdogs with Bundesliga bookmakers.

Union Berlin to win

Wolfsburg vs FC Augsburg

Saturday, March 16 – 3:30pm CET – Volkswagen Arena

On a run of three straight victories, FC Augsburg have turned their season around in recent weeks, avoiding the relegation scrap. As they head to Wolfsburg this weekend, they face a side on a 10-match winless streak who have struggled to find the back of the net. The visitors also hold a four-match unbeaten streak between the sides, which suggests that they offer great value as +260 underdogs with Bovada.

TSG Hoffenheim vs VfB Stuttgart

Saturday, March 16 – 6:30pm CET – PreZero Arena

Unbeaten in their past seven matches, VfB Stuttgart have continued to surprise everyone as they sit just four points behind Bayern Munich in third place. Facing an away trip to Hoffenheim this weekend, they will be looking for revenge over the only side that have beaten them at home this season. Bundesliga bookmakers have the visitors as favourites for this clash but given they have conceded in each of their past nine away matches, expect TSG Hoffenheim to put up a fight.
