2021 T20 World Cup tournament odds

T20 World Cup CricketBarring any disasters in the lead-up to the tournament, most cricket bookmakers will have India starting as favourites to win the 2021 T20 World Cup.

England might not have their strongest team available, but they will have plenty of support in the betting nonetheless.

The defending champion West Indies can never be written off, while Pakistan could be the value pick in the outright market.

Players to watch at T20 World Cup 2021

  • Babar Azam
If there is a challenger to Virat Kohli as the best white-ball batsman in the world, it is this guy. Babar Azam has gone from strength to strength in all formats over the last few years and looms as the key to Pakistan’s chances of claiming a second T20 World Cup title. The flat wickets of the Middle East should amplify Babar’s stylish strokeplay.
  • Glenn Maxwell
While he is not everybody’s cup of tea, there is no denying that Glenn Maxwell is one of modern cricket’s great entertainers. The Australian all-rounder comes into the T20 World Cup off a terrific campaign in the Indian Premier League and looks poised to play a big part in the UAE and Oman.
  • Rashid Khan
Afghanistan spinner Rashid KahnIf you have never seen this guy play, you are missing out on something special. An outstanding young spinner who has already made a big impact on the worldwide T20 circuit, Rashid Khan has that rare ability to contain batsmen and hunt wickets at the same time. His googly is the best in the business and his lower-order hitting is very handy as well.
  • Mitchell Starc
With the white ball in hand, a fit and firing Mitchell Starc is all but unstoppable. He was the undisputed player of the tournament at the 2015 Cricket World Cup with 22 wickets at a strike rate of 17.4, and a similar performance in 2021 could put Australia in the mix to win their maiden Twenty20 title.
