Dvalishvili sparks White rant ahead of UFC 306

UFC boss Dana White doubled down on his criticism of Merab Dvalishvili on Wednesday, saying that the Georgian fighter “must be f***ing with me now” after his latest social media post.

Dvalishvili posted a video of him removing his own stitches, ahead of his fight against Sean O’Malley for the UFC bantamweight title on September 14.

The stunt did not go down well with White.

“Isn’t he awesome? I think he’s just f***ing with me now, to be honest with you,” said White in response to the video on Wednesday.

The video showed Dvalishvili using what looked to be a regular pair of household scissors to remove the stitches in his eyebrow.

“Have you ever seen the scissors they take stitches out with?” continued White.

“They’re tiny, and they have that thing on there so you don’t cut yourself.

“They can slide them up under the stitches and you don’t cut yourself.

“This dude had f***ing bush shears that he was using, that you trim your f***ing bushes with, that gardeners use.

“Whatever, good for him. Do what you want.”

White had previously labelled Dvalishvili “next level stupid” after the bantamweight posted about a cut he sustained during training last week.

“The whole world knows about Merab’s cut, he posted it,” White had said.

“Our guys are so dumb, it’s next-level unbelievable.

“Why the f*ck would you want [O’Malley] to know that?!

“It is next-level stupid. Some of these guys are so stupid it’s mind-boggling. It’s unbelievable.”

Despite his antics, Dvalishvili is still favoured by top UFC betting sites to win the UFC bantamweight belt at UFC 306.

The Georgian is paying -125 for victory with top sports bookmakers, while Strickland is a slight underdog at +100 for the September 14 fight.
