The football season in England is gradually building up momentum, with Matchweek 2 of the 2019/20 English Premier League expected to serve up another threat.
Our first featured game for this weekend will see Arsenal play host to Burnley on Saturday afternoon, while Liverpool — fresh off a UEFA Super Cup win — will take on Southampton at 3pm.
The most eagerly awaited match of the weekend is slated for later in the day where champions Manchester City welcome Tottenham Hotspur to the Etihad.
Bouncing back to winning ways against Leicester City may prove a tough ask for Chelsea on Sunday, while Manchester United will hope to extend their fine pre-season and early-season form on their trip to Wolverhampton on Monday night.
EPL Multi of the Week – Matchweek 2
- Both Arsenal and Burnley to score
- Liverpool to win
- Man City to win
- Chelsea vs Leicester under 2.5 goals
- Man United to win

Leg 1 – Arsenal vs Burnley
Saturday, August 17 – 12:30pm local time – Emirates Stadium, London
They may not have been flamboyant in their opening match of the season, but Arsenal did just enough to get over the line against Newcastle United last weekend.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, one third of last season’s Premier League Golden Boot winners, inspired the Gunners to victory at St James’ Park by scoring the only goal of the encounter on 58 minutes.

Burnley won their season opener in convincing fashion, as they thrashed Southampton 3-0 at Turf Moor thanks to an Ashley Barnes brace and a superb left-foot finish from Jóhann Berg Guðmundsson.
The atmosphere at the Emirates will be electric, being their first home game of the season, with both teams expected to find the back of the net much like they did across two legs last season.

Leg 2 – Southampton vs Liverpool
Saturday, August 17 – 3pm local time – St Mary’s Stadium, Southampton
Southampton were on the receiving end of a 3-0 ravaging away to Burnley last weekend.
This week, the Saints will go up against a Liverpool side that secured their second piece of silverware in three months after beating Chelsea on Wednesday night to lift the UEFA Super Cup.
Red boss Jurgen Klopp made light of the fact that Southampton will be the biggest beneficiaries of their European triumph, seeing that his side had to go through a gruelling 120 minutes before proceeding to post-match penalties.
Despite the debilitating effects of their midweek encounter in Istanbul, there is little doubt as to who will emerge victorious in this EPL match.
Liverpool to win – -227.27 at Bovada
Leg 3 – Manchester City vs Tottenham Hotspur
Saturday, August 17 – 5:30pm local time – Etihad Stadium, Manchester
Manchester City will play host to Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday afternoon in the biggest bout of the weekend.
Pep Guardiola’s charges launched their bid for a third successive Premier League title with a remarkable 5-0 battering of West Ham United in London last weekend.

Spurs also began the season on a high by beating newly promoted Aston Villa 3-1 at home, although they had to come from behind after conceding an early goal.
City’s bid for a five-trophy haul last season were scuppered when Spurs knocked them out of the Champions League, so the EPL title holders will be eager for some retribution.
Man City to win – -285.71 at Bovada
Leg 4 – Chelsea vs Leicester City
Sunday, August 18 – 4:30pm local time – Stamford Bridge, London
Frank Lampard’s Chelsea will be desperate for a win when they lock horns with Leicester City on Sunday afternoon at the Bridge.
The Blues were outclassed last weekend in a match that saw them trounced 4-0 away to Manchester United, and Lampard’s problems were further compounded with their UEFA Super Cup loss to Liverpool in midweek.
The jaded Blues will be playing host to a Leicester City side that registered a barren draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers last Sunday, which is why there are no guarantees that it will be raining goals come Sunday.
Total goals under 2.5 – -138.89 at Bovada
Leg 5 – Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Manchester United
Monday, August 19 – 8pm local time – Molineux Stadium, Wolverhampton
After starting the season with a big win over Chelsea, Manchester United will be away to Wolves on Monday night.
Of their scheduled games during the first month of the 2019/20 EPL campaign, this is one match Ole Gunner Solskjaer has assuredly been plotting for the longest time.
The Red Devils have a score to settle with Wolves, who not only eliminated them in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup last season but also beat them at the Molineux in the league.
Without a win against Nuno Espírito Santo’s mob in their last three meetings, United will be happy to grind out a marginal victory and run away with maximum points.
Man United to win – +130 at Bovada
