EURO 2024: England draw with Denmark, Spain beat Italy

England were unconvincing yet again as they were held to a 1-1 draw with Denmark on Thursday in their second match of EURO 2024.

Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane gave the Three Lions the lead in the 18th minute, attaining a personal milestone of scoring in four consecutive major tournaments.

However, England failed to sustain their early lead, with Denmark drawing level through a fantastic long-range effort from Morten Hjulmand in the 34th minute.

Despite settling for a draw, England remain top of Group C on four points.

Elsewhere, Spain secured passage into the knockout phase with a 1-0 win over defending champions Italy.

Second in Group B behind leaders Spain, Italy can book their place in the knockout phase when they face Croatia on Monday.
