Ninth-ranked Florida faces seventh-ranked Georgia in a big SEC match up that has BCS implications.

Both teams have one loss in conference play and there are many college football betting options for punters to take advantage of in this rivalry game.

This game is being held at a neutral site at the TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville, Florida.

Florida has won five in a row and in that span, they beat the ranked teams of Mississippi State and LSU. However, their one loss was a costly one losing to Kentucky, who they are tied with atop the SEC along with Georgia. All three teams are 4-1 in conference play and the Bulldogs face Kentucky in their next game.

The Gators’ offense has been solid in the last few games and they have combined for 64 points in their last two games. On offense, they are led by a ground attack that ranks 39th in the nation in rushing yards per game. The real strength of Florida is their defense, which ranks 15th in the nation only giving up an average of 16.6 points per game.

Georgia is coming off their first loss of the season, but they still hold their fate in their hands. If they win out they will win the SEC East and play in the conference title game. The Bulldogs are like the Gators in that they have a good run game and while ranking 13th in the nation in points against only giving up an average of 16.3 points per game they gave up 36 points in losing their last game.

This season Florida is 6-1 SU with an ATS record of 6-1` and an O/U record of 4-3 and Georgia is 6-1 with an ATS record of 3-4 and an O/U record of 3-4.

Florida is 4-1 ATS in their last five games against Georgia and they are also 5-2 ATS in their last seven games facing them on the road.

Florida may have a little payback in mind, as last season on the road they were crushed by Georgia losing 42-7.

In their last game Florida had a big-time comeback coming back from 18 points down to beat Vanderbilt 37-27. Turnovers were very costly for the Gators, as they had three of them and they out-gained Vandy 576 yards to 336 yards. However, they got over them and outscored the Vandals 24-6 in the 2nd half.

Florida QB Feleipe Franks had a good game passing for 284 yards with two touchdowns and an interception and Lamical Perine and Jordan Scarlett combined for 234 rushing yards. These two running backs have combined for 757 rushing yards this season and the Gators have three players that have rushed for at least 295 yards.

While Georgia ranks 15th in the nation defending the pass and 40th defending the run they gave up 475 yards in their last game including giving up 275 rushing yards.

Georgia suffered their first loss in their last game losing to LSU 36-16 where they not only were out-gained 475 yards to 322 yards, but they committed four turnovers and did not force any. Jake Fromm looks to bounce back after only going 16/34 for 209 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions. Georgia had to go to the air more after being outscored 16-0 in the first half and they cannot let that happen in this game.

Elijah Holyfield leads the Bulldogs with 488 rushing yards and he had 56 yards on only seven carries in the loss to LSU. He and D’Andre Swift (362 rushing yards 4 TD) will be facing a Florida run defense that only ranks 73rd in the nation and Georgia will look to establish the run early in this big game.

Florida vs. Georgia betting prediction

Georgia did not look like Georgia in their last game, giving up 36 points and coughing up the rock four times. That will not happen in this game and they will look like the Bulldogs we are used to seeing.

Georgia will play good defense and run the ball well and because of that they will win and cover the spread, keeping their BCS hopes alive.
