GiG pushes into New Jersey market with Hard Rock deal

HardRock joins with GiG for sports betting partnership

RAPIDLY growing gambling company Gaming Innovation Group will provide their sports betting platform to New Jersey operator Hard Rock Casino.

The deal means Hard Rock will gain access to GiG Sports Connect, GiG Trader and GiG Goal, and in turn will provide these services to both online and offline citizens in New Jersey.

Inside the Hard Rock Casino there will be terminals available to place your bets, while those located inside New Jersey will also be able to access a skin of the platform via the internet, which will allow you to place real money bets.

Hard Rock Senior Vice President of Online Gaming Kresmir Spajic said the agreement was another big step forward for not only the Hard Rock Casino, but for New Jersey sports betting, which is already emerging as a serious market despite only legalising the practice since the May 14 successful repel of the PASPA legislation.

“The forthcoming launch of the Hard Rock sportsbook in New Jersey will mark another step towards becoming a significant player in the national and international sports betting and online gaming industry,” he said.

“We are positive that the extension of our partnership with GiG together with skin partnerships with leading international operators will enable Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City to reach its ultimate goal of becoming New Jersey’s sports betting and online gaming market leader.”

GiG is largely known for its online brand Guts.com which features all of a casino, sportsbook and poker and is a UK and Malta licensed website. The company also includes UK-facing brand HighRoller.com, Rizk.com and BetSpin.com.

But in recent times GiG has focussed more exclusively on their white label solutions, which allow them to provide all the technical aspects of sports betting and online casino gaming to other companies, like Hard Rock.

“I am proud and delighted to have signed this agreement with our partner Hard Rock, our first inroad to sports betting in the exciting US market.” GiG CEO Robin Reed said.

“It was a highly competitive pitch against the best sportsbooks in the world, all vying to open up the US market.

“Hard Rock choosing GiG to power its sportsbook is a clear statement as to the quality of our cutting-edge sports betting services at this very early stage of their roll-out.”

Hard Rock saw some positive signs in their first few months of operation in Atlantic City, with them and fellow newcomer Ocean Resort already taking a fair chunk of the New Jersey gambling market.

This latest announcement comes despite there being strong rumours Hard Rock, Atlantic City, had struck a deal with Bet365 to partner up for sports betting.
