Los Angeles Clippers vs Miami Heat NBA betting preview
The LA Clippers are coming off a loss in their last game and will head to South Beach this Friday to face a Miami Heat team that has won two in a row.
The Clippers had won four in a row before their last game where they lost 102-95 to the Atlanta Hawks. While the Hawks have the second-fewest wins in the league, LA were playing without starters Kawhi Leonard, Paul George and Patrick Beverly.

Leonard sat to rest on a back-to-back and will play against the Heat. George is out with a hamstring injury and Beverly is listed as day-to-day with a groin injury.
LA sit third in the NBA Western Conference, a half-game back of the Utah Jazz, while the Heat are second in the Eastern Conference and 7.5 games back of the Milwaukee Bucks.
The Heat have won two in a row and four of their last five games. Their offense blew up in their last game in a 134-129 overtime home win over the Washington Wizards.
The Clippers played solid defense in their loss to the Hawks, holding them to a field goal percentage of 35.3%. They shot 42.3% but were killed on the glass, giving up 23 offensive rebounds while only grabbing eight. Also, they only shot a three-point field goal percentage of 19% (4-21). Montrezl Harrell led LA with 30 points and Lou Williams had 18 points but was only 6/19 from the floor.
Leonard (27.1 ppg) leads the Clippers in scoring and has been on fire as of late, averaging 37.5 points in his last four games. Williams (19.9 ppg) has totaled 34 points in his last two games and in each of those games failed to shoot over 31.6% from the floor. Harrell (19.4 ppg) has scored at least 21 points in three of his last four games.

The Heat blew a 21-point lead in their win over the Wizards but outscored them 16-11 in overtime. Jimmy Butler led all starters with 24 points, 16 of which came from the free-throw line. Goran Dragic and Tyler Herro combined for 47 points off the bench.
Butler (20.3 ppg) leads a balanced Miami lineup that has seven players averaging over 11 points per game. Butler had only averaged 14 points for three games before going for 24 points in the win over the Wizards. Bam Adebayo (15.8 ppg, 10.5 rpg) had combined for 37 points and 27 rebounds before the Washington game where he only scored six points on 37.5% shooting.
The Heat have won nine straight games at home where they are an NBA best 20-1 and the Clippers are 12-10 on the road.
