American Leaguers headlining the Major League Baseball (MLB) schedule on Sunday, July 10th include Cleveland’s Zach Plesac and Kansas City’s Zack Greinke taking the mound in Kansas City, Jake Odorizzi and the Astros visit Oakland, and Byron Buxton gets some swings against a familiar foe in Texas. Cleveland Guardians @ Kansas City Royals

Zack Greinke and the Royals host the Guardians on Sunday, and while Greinke hasn’t been great this season (4.85 ERA and 1.31 WHIP), he has been great against the Guardians. Cleveland batters have managed to collect just 16 hits in 67 at-bats for a .171 batting average against Grienke. Just three of those 16 hits have gone for extra bases. That’s a .444 OPS against Greinke, which should bode well for the Royals.

Zach Plesac being on the mound for Cleveland should also bode well for Kansas City. Plesac has an ERA and WHIP in the MLB top-40, but he’s struggled with the Royals. Kansas City batters have 33 hits in 131 at-bats, including seven doubles, a triple, and three homers. That’s a .301 batting average against and .801 OPS against. Hunter Dozier has four hits in 25 at-bats with two of the team’s three home runs and the lone triple. You might consider placing a player prop bet on him to have multiple total bases on Sunday, or you could bet on Whit Merrifield to do the same. He’s seven-for-32 with two doubles against Plesac. Nicky Lopez also has five hits in 14 at-bats, so there are plenty of options when it comes to player prop bets in this one.

Tampa Bay Rays @ Cincinnati Reds

Shane Baz is projected to start for Tampa Bay, and he’s been quite good, with a 2.92 ERA and 1.14 WHIP. Cincinnati is completely unfamiliar with him given the interleague matchup, but the Reds have the fifth-worst OPS in MLB, so expect Baz to be even better than his season averages thus far.

Going for Cincinnati is Nick Lodolo, who’s 1-2 with a 4.19 ERA and 1.50 WHIP. He’ll have unfamiliarity working for him the first time through the order, but expect the Rays, despite their fourth-worst team OPS, to be better than their season averages thus far. Take Tampa in the first five innings and on the moneyline. Parlaying the Rays with the Guardians on the moneyline pays +215.

Oakland’s Tony Kemp vs. Houston’s Jake Odorizzi

Tony Kemp is five-for-seven against Odorizzi, and his teammates have fared quite well, too. The Athletics are 14-of-46 with five doubles off Odorizzi. That’s a 1.111 OPS and .422 batting average. You might consider taking the underdog Athletics in the first five innings and parlay that bet with Tampa Bay and Kansas City.
