Monday’s MLB American League best bets & parlays – June 27

Major League Baseball (MLB) has just nine games scheduled for Sunday, with Jordan Montgomery and the Yankees hosting the Athletics, the White Sox visiting the Angels, and Mariners hosting the Orioles. Here are the best bets on games featuring American League teams scheduled for Monday, June 27 starting at 7:05 p.m. Eastern. All lines provided by Bovada.

Oakland Athletics (+230) @ New York Yankees (-275)

We all know Jordan Montgomery has been sensational this season for New York, going 3-1 with a 2.97 ERA and 1.02 WHIP. He’s been even better against Oakland. The Athletics have just four hits in 24 at-bats against Montgomery, with one triple and one homer. Jed Lowrie has both extra-base hits for Oakland, going three-for-eight against Montgomery, A player prop bet on him to collect multiple total bases might not be a bad idea.

Paul Blackburn has been even more essential for Oakland, going 6-3 with a 2.97 ERA and 1.18 WHIP. The Yankees have really rocked him, however. New York batters are eight-for-17 with two doubles against Blackburn, with a 1.125 OPS. Expect the Yankees take the lead early and keep it thanks to their second-best bullpen in baseball (2.84 reliever ERA).

Chicago White Sox (+110) @ Los Angeles Angels (-130)

Lucas Giolito has been a shell of himself thus far this season, going 4-4 with a 5.40 ERA and 1.56 WHIP. Angels batters have had some success against him, too. Los Angeles is 14-of-64 with a double, triple, and seven dingers. That’s a .755 OPS.

Much of that damage has been done by Shohei Ohtani, which shouldn’t surprise anyone. The new Babe Ruth of baseball is five-for-17 with the double, the triple, and two of the home runs. A player prop bet on Ohtani to have more than two total bases would be a good bet, and perhaps a bet on him to hit a homer will cash given how hot he’s been lately.

Speaking of shells, Noah Syndergaard has also been a shell of his former self. He’s 4-6 with a 3.86 ERA and 1.20 WHIP. He’s had success against Chicago, though. White Sox batters are just seven-for-32 with two doubles and a dinger against Syndergaard. That was against Noah of the past, however.

Take Chicago on the moneyline. Parlaying the White Sox and Yankees on the moneyline pays +186.

Baltimore Orioles (+130) @ Seattle Mariners (-150)

George Kirby has been exceptional for Seattle this season, going 2-2 with a 3.12 ERA and 1.12 WHIP. He’s also done well against Baltimore in a small sample size. Baltimore batters are just three-for-19 with no extra-base hits against Kirby. The Orioles have struck out seven times and have posted just a .375 OPS against Kirby.

The Mariners are unfamiliar with Baltimore starter Tyler Wells, who is 5-4 with a 3.34 ERA and 1.10 WHIP this season. Wells has been uncomfortable on the road, posting a 4.25 ERA in 36 innings pitched. Opponents’ batting average against him is 67 points better than it is when he pitches in Baltimore. Expect the Mariners’ right handers to enjoy their at-bats. Wells has allowed a .719 OPS against righties.
