NCAA basketball analysis & betting – Princeton vs. Yale odds & tips
The red-hot Princeton Tigers (12-5) will put their perfect Ivy League record on the line heading to Yale (13-4) to take on a Bulldogs squad that has won nine of their last 10 games.
This looks like a fascinating contest between these Ivy League rivals — both games between them last season went to overtime.
The Tigers are the only team in the Ivy League that does not have a conference loss and they can really get a leg up in conference play with a road win in their game. In the middle of last month leading scorer Devin Cannady was suspended indefinitely, but the Tigers kept on rolling. They are not a team that can light it up, but they have a solid defense.
Yale is a half game back of Princeton in Ivy League play and they and Harvard are 3-1 in conference play. In their season finale last season, they beat Princeton in a 94-90 OT shootout and this season their offense is the strength of the team ranking 33rd in the nation in points per game.
This season Yale is 6-0 at home and Princeton is 7-2 on the road.
This season Princeton is 9-6 ATS and they have an Over/Under record of 5-10 and Yale is at 9-7 ATS with an Over/Under record of 8-8.
This is the first game between these Ivy League rivals this season.
Yale is 5-1-1 ATS in their last seven home games against Princeton.
Princeton won their 7th in a row in their last game on the road and beating Cornell 70-61 in overtime. They outscored Cornell 14-5 in OT Even though the Tigers had 18 turnovers and gave up 11 offensive rebounds and only had four they still got the win. The main reason was that they shot the ball well with a FG% of 51.1% and they held Cornell to a FG% of 36.9%.
Richmond Aririguzoh had 20 points on perfect 6/6 shooting in the win over Cornell with Myles Stephens going for 15 points and Ryan Schwieger chiming in with 14 points. Stephens is averaging 13.9 ppg to lead the Tigers and in his last two games he has 32 points and 21 rebounds. Aririguzoh and Stephens are the two players for Princeton that are averaging in double digits this season.
In their last game Yale was on the road and they crushed Dartmouth beating them 89-68. They had a much better shooting game with a FG% of 53.8%, as well as a 3-pt FG% of 47.8%, and they held Dartmouth to a FG% of only 40.7%.
Miye Oni went big for the Bulldogs with a career high 31 points and he was also one rebound short of a double-double with nine rebounds. Blake Reynolds and Jordan Bruner also had 17 points each for Yale. There are five players averaging in double figures for the Bulldogs led by Oni and before his 31-point game in his last one he had not scored over 15 points in any of his previous four games.

Princeton Tigers vs. Yale Bulldogs betting prediction
Last season in the two encounters between these teams the results were split in two overtime thrillers.
Look for, kind of, the same thing to happen in this game. While it may not go to OT, it will be close and Yale at home will come through on offense and the Bulldogs will get the win and cover the spread as well.
