NRL Round 18 – Titans v Sea Eagles tips & 1st try scorer odds

Date: Monday 13th July, 2015

Venue: CBus Super Stadium, Gold Coast

Time: 7pm EST.

Weather: Cloudy, 17 Degrees.

History & Form

THE 13th placed Gold Coast Titans take on the 14th placed Manly Sea Eagles in what should unfold as an interesting contest at CBus Stadium on Monday evening.

Daly Cherry-Evans will play at what was to be his new home ground from 2016 onwards and should expect a hostile reception from Titan fans after his infamous decision to backflip on his move to the Gold Coast, ultimately signing a lifetime deal with the Manly Sea Eagles.

The Titans come into this match from a bye last week, while the Sea Eagles got back into the winners circle with a 12-point win over the Sharks last round.

Queensland State of Origin forward Nate Myles will be welcomed backed into the Titans side, however they will still be without halves Aidan Sezer and Kane Elge, along with Beau Falloon, Kierran Moseley and Matt Srama. Manly are at full-strength and have added Justin Horo to a extended five man bench.

These two teams have met on 13 previous occasions, with Manly holding the upper hand by 8 wins to 5. The Sea Eagles have a mixed record at Cbus Super Stadium, winning 4 out of 7 matches.

Betting Summary

All of the money has been for the Manly side to be victorious, with Luxbet.com.au offering the best odds of the betting agencies at $1.44 in the head-to-head market. Titans’ fans can secure juicy odds of $2.90 at Crownbet.com.au and Luxbet.com.au.

The line is +7.5 to the Titans at $1.92 with Crownbet.com.au and Luxbet.com.au are offering $1.94 for Manly at -7.5.

Manly (13+) $2.55 at Luxbet.com.au

Titans (1-12) $4.50 at Crownbet.com.au

Half/Full-Time Markets:

Titans/Manly – $7.50 at Luxbet.com.au, Sportsbet.com.au and Crownbet.com.au

Titans/Titans – $4.80 at Luxbet.com.au

First-Try Scorer:

There is no standout favourite in the first-try scorer markets for either side, with the shortest-priced players being Anthony Don and James Roberts at $10.00 for the Titans and Jorge Taufua at $9.50 for Manly.

Other favourable options are:

Brett Stewart (Manly) – $10.00 and $1.95 to score a try at anytime, with Crownbet.com.au.

Steve Matai (Manly) – $10.00 and $1.95 to score a try at anytime, with Crownbet.com.au.

David Mead (Titans) – $13.00 and $2.75 to score a try at anytime, with Crownbet.com.au.

Jamie Lyon (Manly) – $14.00 and $2.25 to score a try at anytime, with Crownbet.com.au.

Kevin Gordon (Titans) – $15.00 and $2.65 to score a try at anytime, with Crownbet.com.au.

Exotic Markets:

As both teams have been struggling to score avon 30-points this season, a win for either side with <40 total match points is an enticing investment. Crownbet.com.au are offering $2.70 for the Manly combination and $5.45 for the Titans. With such a log-jam for a position in the top eight, although these two teams sitting towards the bottom of the premiership ladder, a win in this match could provide vital as we head towards the business end of the season. Despite Manly being the favourites to win, the Titans have always proven difficult to beat on home soil. Don’t be afraid to divulge into the margin markets where you can select your own line and obtain a much healthier dividend.
