Saturday’s MLB American League best bets & parlays – June 25

A full slate of games is scheduled for Saturday in Major League Baseball (MLB), headlined in the American League by Cleveland’s Shane Beiber starting against Boston, Chris Archer starting for Minnesota at home against Colorado in an interleague game, and Zach Davies goes for Arizona in another interleague game against Detroit. Here are the best bets on games featuring American League teams scheduled for Saturday, June 25 starting at 1:05 p.m. Eastern. All lines provided by Bovada.

Colorado Rockies @ Minnesota Twins

Chris Archer has had a fine year after making just five starts last season due to injury. While he’s 1-3, his 3.44 ERA and 1.30 WHIP are competitive. He especially enjoys seeing the Rockies, too. Colorado batters are just 10-of-40 against Archer with just one extra-base hit for a .463 OPS. Charlie Blackmon has had most of the Rockies’ success, with four hits in eight at-bats including that sole extra-base hit for three bags. Place a player prop bet on Blackmon to collect multiple total bases on Saturday in Minnesota.

Starting for Colorado will be Antonio Senzatela, whom only Carlos Correa has seen. He’s one-for-three against Senzatela and will surely share his insights with his Twins teammates. Sanzatela is 3-3 with a 4.42 ERA and 1.75 WHIP. Sanzatela struggles to miss bats, logging just a 2.3 strikeout-to-walk ratio, which is in keeping with his career statistics. Sanzatela has struggled with righties, allowing a .917 OPS against, with 13 of the 40 hits against him going for extra bases.

Boston Red Sox @ Cleveland Guardians

We’ve been riding the Shane Bieber train around here and it’s been good to us. He’s 3-3 with a 3.00 ERA and 1.17 WHIP. More importantly, the Guardians have won six of his last eight starts, most recently at Los Angeles, 5-3, over the Dodgers. Bieber went 6.1 innings and allowed just two earned runs, striking out nine. Boston has hit Bieber hard, however, collecting 13 hits in 39 at-bats including a double and four dingers. That’s a 1.089 OPS.

Rafael Devers has had the most success against Bieber, going three-for-eight with two homers. Bet on him to collect multiple total bases, and it might not be a bad idea to do the same for Christian Vasquez, who’s four-of-five against Bieber.

Josh Winkowski is projected to start for Boston. He’s 2-1 with a 3.68 ERA and 1.50 WHIP. The Guardians are unfamiliar with Winkowski, so he’s got that going for him. He’s also pitched well in his last two starts, earning wins over Detroit and Oakland while allowing a combined two runs in 11.2 innings pitched.

We’re jumping off the Bieber train for this one and taking the underdog Red Sox in the first five innings. Take Cleveland on the moneyline, though. The Guardians’ relievers are the best in baseball with a 1.08 WHIP. Parlaying Minnesota and Cleveland on the moneyline pays +167.

Detroit Tigers @ Arizona Diamondbacks

Zach Davies is better than his 2-4 record and 3.96 ERA. His 1.20 WHIP is ranked 38th in MLB, but Arizona has the fifth-worst team OPS in baseball (.671). He’ll enjoy seeing the Tigers in town, as they’ve managed just 16 hits in 66 at-bats against him, including five extra-base hits. That’s a .518 OPS against, and much of the damage has been done by Javier Baez, who has 10 of thos 16 hits and two of the extra-base hits. Bet on Baez to collect multiple total bases on Saturday.

Alex Faedo is expected to start for Detroit. He’s 1-4 with a 4.67 ERA and 1.49 WHIP. Given the interleague matchup, Arizona is unfamiliar with him, but they’ll get familiar with pretty quickly. Faedo has allowed a 1.002 OPS against batters facing him for a second time in the game.

Take Arizona in the first five innings and on the moneyline. Parlaying the Diamondbacks, Guardians, and Twins in a moneyline trifecta pays +346.
