Second T20 preview: England v West Indies

England will be looking to seal the series victory on Sunday afternoon (BST), as they face the West Indies in the second T20 in Bristol.

Coming off a dominant 3-0 ODI series victory, England continued their good form in the first T20 with a 21-run win in Chester. Led by 96 runs from wicket keeper Jos Buttler, the home side set a competitive 188. In response, the West Indies struggled with the bat, as all-rounder Liam Dawson tore through the batting lineup with 4/20.

It is no surprise to see leading cricket betting sites have England as the clear favorite for this clash at -222.22. Meanwhile the visitors offer a value selection at +220.

With such a short turnaround, don’t expect drastic changes from either side for this clash. However, England may look to rotate their bowling attack with Luke Wood, Saqib Mahmood and Rehan Ahmed in the squad.

Similarly, the West Indies may look to improve their bowling lineup with the likes of Akeal Hossain and Matthew Forde waiting in the wings.

England vs West Indies prediction

Based off the performances seen so far, expect England to continue the dominant form. The West Indian bowlers have struggled in the English conditions, while their batting attack doesn’t have the same firepower. As rightful favourites, back the home side to secure the match and the series at -222.22 with top online sportsbooks.

Coming off a stellar IPL and 96 runs in the opening T20, expect Jos Buttler to be the danger man once again in this clash. The 34-year-old has scored 30 or more runs in eight of his last nine T20 innings and is a safe pick to pass the mark once again at -111.11 with Stake.com.

While picking which of the West Indian bowlers will take wickets is a tough ask, one player who has shown consistency is right arm pace bowler Romario Shephard. The 30-year-old has taken wickets in each of his last five T20 matches, including two in the opening game of the series. At +275 with Stake.com , Shephard is a value selection to take two or more wickets once again.
