King takes Miami to victory over NC State in NCAAF

Miami Hurricanes quarterback D’Eriq King had a spectacular night on Friday in the NCAA football competition. After a couple of low-profile appearances, King was at his best against North Carolina State. With over 500 combined yards and five touchdowns, it was a game to remember for King.

Miami ultimately prevailed 44-41, despite being 10 points down in the fourth quarter. With less than three minutes on the clock, King threw a 54-yard pass to wide receiver Mike Harley. Later on, the Hurricanes intercepted the Wolfpack, and King ran for third down with 2:26 left.

King ultimately wound up throwing more than 430 yards in 31 completed passes (out of 41 attempts), with no interceptions. This victory keeps the Hurricanes in the running for the ACC title in NCAA football betting. Many US betting sites offer outright markets for the NCAA.

Southampton beat Newcastle to go top of EPL

Southampton have managed the unlikely feat of climbing to the top of the English Premier League table. It’s their first time at the summit since 1988 and comes after an impressive performance against Newcastle United. The Saints beat the Magpies 2-0 at St Mary’s Stadium to pick up their fifth win in eight games, seeing them onto 16 points, level with Liverpool at the top at the time of writing.

Even more impressive is the fact that they did this without their star forward, Danny Ings. With Ings out with an injury, the Saints’ Premier League betting odds weren’t looking great with most UK bookmakers as Ings has been responsible for five of their goals this season.

However, his absence didn’t stop Che Adams from scoring an early goal in the seventh minute that set the tone for the match. Southampton ran the clock out on the Magpies, before an 82 minute goal from Stuart Armstrong dashed any hopes Newcastle had of snatching a point.

Super Eagles could lose Uduokhai to Germany

Felix Uduokhai, a promising 23-year-old German-Nigerian defender, was recently being courted by Nigeria’s Super Eagles. Team coach Gernot Rohr had set his eyes on Uduokhai for some time now, and was actively pursuing the player.

However, Germany’s Joachim Low has extended an invitation to Uduokhai to join the German national team. It’s a crushing blow for the Nigerian team, and may impact their soccer betting odds with African betting sites and sportsbooks.

Uduokhai, born to a German mother and a Nigerian father, is currently playing for Augsburg in the Bundesliga. He’s been a pillar of the team’s defense, playing every minute of every match so far this season. Before Uduokhai, Nigeria lost potential midfielder Bukayo Saka to England.

Elche draw 1-1 against Celta de Vigo in La Liga

In Spain’s top professional football league, La Liga, Elche put in an impressive performance against Celta Vigo as they ground out a 1-1 draw. Celta are going through something of a  rut right now, having lost their past three fixtures. After the draw, Elche now sit in 9th in the league, above Celta Vigo in 17th.

Spanish betting sites likely made a tidy profit on the draw. What should’ve been a fairly straightforward match for Celta quickly became complicated after an early penalty goal from Fidel Chaves after just four minutes. This made Celta panic, forcing them into playing an erratic, overly aggressive match and disregarding defense.

Countless shots were blocked by Elche’s Edgar Badía, who had a spectacular game in goal for the home side. However, Celta’s Santi Mina managed to sneak a ball past the goalkeeper after 41 minutes, levelling the score.
