Wednesday, April 11, 2018 – 8pm IT – Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur
The sixth game of the Indian Premier League will see Rajasthan Royals lock horns with Delhi Daredevils at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur.
Rajasthan had a poor game against Sunrisers Hyderabad and were comfortably brushed aside by 9 wickets. Ajinkya Rahane and company will aim for a strong comeback in their first home fixture against Delhi. Meanwhile, Gautam Gambhir and the Daredevils will be desperate to get a win after conceding a defeat at the hands of Kings XI Punjab in Mohali.
Rajasthan Royals will need to put up a better display with the bat and ball against Delhi. Ajinkya Rahane will certainly have to lead from the front with the bat. The opener looked a bit rusty in the first game and failed to get going against the Sunrisers.
The only bright spot for Rajasthan Royals in the previous game was Sanju Samson, who scored 49 runs coming in at first drop in the batting lineup. Samson has certainly made big strides and could turn out to be a bankable performer for Rajasthan this season.
Rahul Tripathi could be utilised much better as he is not suited to batting in the middle order. A move to the top with D’ Arcy could prove a better ploy in order to get the side off to a good start in their innings.

Ben Stokes will be keen to deliver after a failure in the first game. Talismanic all-rounder will have to adjust to the conditions and play according to the situation. Jos Buttler will also be a key player for the side and will need to chip with runs with the bat.
Jaydev Unadkat was good with the ball in the game against Sunrisers. Ben Laughlin, Dhawal Kulkarni, and Shreyas Gopal will be keen to produce a better display with the ball in their first home game.
On the other hand, Delhi Daredevils will be keen to make amends in this game. Delhi lost the momentum with the bat after getting off to good start against Kings XI. Captain Gautam Gambhir top-scored with 55 runs to see Delhi post 160-odd runs on the board.
Colin Munro did not do much with the bat in the first game. The left-hander will be keen to produce runs with the bat for the side.
Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant are promising players in the batting lineup. The duo will need to produce a good score for the side. Chris Morris produced a vital cameo to help Delhi post a decent score on the board.
There will be a lot of concerns for Delhi as their bowling lineup failed to deliver in the first game. They conceded a lot of runs in the first few overs as Trent Boult and Mohammad Shami could string together a couple of dot balls. Gambhir’s decision to bring Amit Mishra early into the game also backfired as leg-spinner conceded more than 10-runs an over.
Rahul Tewatia and Chris Morris produced decent spells in the first game played against Kings XI Punjab.
