MLB Tuesday betting picks & parlay plays – American League

MLB best bets

Interleague play is in full swing in Major League Baseball (MLB). Every MLB team is in action on Tuesday, June 7, with five American League games, five National League games, and five interleague games. Here are the best bets on the games featuring American League teams, starting at 6:40pm ET.

Toronto Blue Jays (-190) @ Kansas City Royals (+160)

Alek Manoah is expected to start for Toronto on the road in Kansas City. He’s been fantastic this season, registering a 1.98 ERA, 0.91 WHIP, and 57 strikeouts while posting a stellar 6-1 record. The Royals are just two-for-21 against Manoah with a .208 OPS, so expect Toronto to dominate the first five innings, especially with Brad Keller going for Kansas City.

Keller is 1-6 this season with a 4.15 ERA and 1.24 WHIP. Blue Jays batters are 14-for-49 with four extra-base hits and a .626 OPS against him. Teoscar Hernandez has been especially comfortable in the batter’s box against Keller, going four-of-10 with a triple and a homer.

A player prop bet on Hernandez to collect multiple total bases in this one would be a smart bet. Also a smart bet is taking Toronto in the first five innings, on the moneyline, and to win by at least two.

Seattle Mariners (+205) @ Houston Astros (-255)

Justin Verlander is expected to start for Houston at home against Seattle, and Ty France of the Mariners should be excited about that. France is five-for-10 against Verlander with a home run. A player prop bet on him to collect multiple total bases against Verlander should pay pretty well. The rest of the Mariners are 20-for-93 against Verlander with seven extra-base hits and a .673 OPS, which is actually better than the Astros have been against Seattle starter Chris Flexen.

Flexen has allowed 32 hits to Houston hitters in 119 at-bats, with nine going for extra bases. Yordan Alvarez has seen the most success against Flexen, going four-of-10 with two home runs. Bet on Alvarez to collect multiple total bases in this one, but bet on Houston’s right-handed hitters to take advantage of their hitter-friendly ballpark, especially to left field.

Flexen has a 4.55 ERA and 1.41 WHIP this season mostly due to his .842 OPS allowed to righties. Expect Jose Altuve, Jeremy Pena, and Alex Bregman to enjoy their plate appearances against Flexen. Take Houston on the moneyline and to win by at least two. Parlaying those bets with the same bets on Toronto pays +112 and +250, respectively, at Bovada.

Oakland Athletics (+185) @ Atlanta Braves (-225)

Whether you’re right-handed or left-handed, you’ve fared pretty poorly as a batter against Atlanta’s starter, Kyle Wright. His OPS against lefties is .558, and against righties it’s .559. That’s why he’s 5-3 with a 2.41 ERA and 1.07 WHIP.

Cole Irvin, on the other hand, has not fared well against the Braves. Atlanta batters are 10-for-17 against Irvin with three extra-base hits and a 1.598 OPS against him. Ozzie Albies is three-for-three with a double, Austin Riley is two-of-four with a double, and Marcell Ozuna is one-for-two with a homer. A bet on any of those three to collect multiple total bases in this game would be a good bet.

Take Atlanta in the first five innings, on the moneyline, and to win by at least two runs. Parlaying that bet on the moneyline with Toronto and Houston pays +206. Making your parlay against the spread a trifecta including Atlanta, Houston, and Toronto results in +554 odds.
