However, the real cause of concern for Chennai in the match will be their bowling department, who are constantly finding it hard to contain runs or to pick wickets at crucial junctures.
The arrival of young South Africa pacer Lungi Ngidi was a big positive for the team in the match against Delhi, as he just gave away 26 runs in his four overs.
Considering the traditional pitch at Eden Gardens, the return of veteran leg-spinner Imran Tahir is on the cards, and the role of veteran all-rounder Dwayne Bravo will be also crucial.
