Key players to watch – India vs. Windies 5th ODI

There have been heroes on both sides of the series.

For India, Virat Kohli continues to take his game to a new level, scoring three centuries and averaging an incredible 137 with scores of 140, 154*, 107 and 16.

His teammate at the top of the order, Rohit Sharma, is also in some of the form of his life with two scores in excess of 150 in the last four matches.

For the West Indies, a young man by the name of Shimron Hetmyer has announced himself to the world.

The 20-year-old became the first West Indian to score three ODI centuries in his first 15 matches when he scored a powerful 106 from just 78 balls in the first ODI. He proved the feat was no fluke just days later in the second ODI when he blitzed 94 from 64 balls.

Displaying the full range of strokes at such a young age, against the second-ranked ODI team in world cricket, Hetmyer looks like a player who could lead Windies out of its never-ending mire.

Shai Hope is another man in maroon who has shown top form in this series with scores of 32, 123* and 95 proving his value.

After an indifferent series with the bat, the Indian keeper could be ready to put in a huge shift with the bat here.
