Match Preview: Sunrisers Hyderabad v Lucknow Super Giants

The fireworks are expected to continue in IPL 2025 as Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) welcomes the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for Match 7 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Friday, March 28 (AEDT). There’s a silver lining for Lucknow: Avesh Khan is fit and expected to return. That gives their depleted bowling attack a much-needed boost, but it’s still an area where they look vulnerable. Against SRH’s in-form batters, it might not be enough.

LSG do have a few big names — Pooran, Marsh, Rishabh Pant, and Aiden Markram — but their lack of bowling depth and inexperience in key moments could cost them once again.

SRH are in devastating form, especially with the bat, and their home record looks set to improve again. Against an LSG side still finding their rhythm and missing key bowlers, this looks like a mismatch on paper.
