Texas head to Texas Tech on the Big Dance bubble and a win would help their resume while a loss to the 11th-ranked Red Raiders would hurt their chances at an invite.
The Longhorns had lost two in a row before getting a much-needed win in their last game. They are 8-8 in Big 12 play and 16-13 overall, so to say they are on the bubble would be an understatement. Texas are 2-3 in their last five games facing top 25 teams and if they lose this Big 12 road game they will be under .500 in conference play.

Texas Tech are in the midst of a seven-game win streak and they are tied with Kansas State atop the Big 12 standings. They do not face them again, but every win is big for the Red Raiders, who are aiming for a top seed in the Big Dance. Tech have a legit offense, but where they shine is on the defensive side of the floor where they rank third in the nation only giving up an average of 58.4 ppg.
This season Texas Tech are 16-1 at home and Texas are 2-7 on the road.
This season Texas are 15-14 ATS and they have an Over/Under record of 13-16 and Texas Tech are at 13-15-1 ATS with an Over/Under record of 12-16.
Earlier this season at home Texas lost to Texas Tech 68-62.
Texas had covered the line in four straight games facing Texas Tech before failing to do so in the first match up between the teams this season.
In their last game Texas were at home and shot the rock well in their 86-69 win over Iowa State. They shot 54.7% from the floor with the Cyclones shooting 45.5% and outscored ISU by 12 points in the first half.
Jase Febres went big in the win over ISU with 26 points hitting eight of his 10 three-pointers, Courtney Ramey had 18 points, and Dylan Osetkowski had 13 points and five rebounds.

Texas leading scorer Kerwin Roach II is suspended and will not play in this game and Dylan Osetkowski and Jaxson Hayes are the only other two players averaging in double digits on the season. Osetkowski has scored 23 points in each of his last two games and Hayes has hit only 13 points in total in that time, only going for four in the win over Iowa State.
Tech won their seventh in a row in their last game beating TCU 81-66 where they killed it on both sides of the floor. They shot 56.9% from the field while holding the Horned Frogs to 38.7% shooting and they outscored TCU by 18 points in the first half. Four of five players for Tech went for double digits in the game and Jarrett Culver and David Moretti each went for 15 points.
Culver leads the team averaging 17.9 ppg and he went for 14 points in the earlier win over Texas. In that game Matt Mooney more than doubled his season average to go for 22 points as the Red Raiders held the Longhorns to a FG% of only 40.4%.

Longhorns vs. Red Raiders betting prediction
Texas lost to Tech earlier this season at home and while they may take the loss in this game on the road they will put up a fight. They will battle Red Raiders in their house and while the Longhorns may not get the W they will cover the line in what will be a close game.
