The Swedish Gambling Authority has granted a five-year licence to Pixel Digital Ltd, which is owned and operated by the LeoVegas Group.
The new brand specialises in esports betting and also offers real money casino games.
Pixel Bet CEO Eirik Kristiansen is hoping the company can use the nascent online gambling sector in Sweden as a launchpad for global success.
“With this licence we gain the opportunity to offer our product and passion for esports betting to the Swedish market,” he said.

“This springboard in Sweden will also position us for continued expansion internationally.”
LeoVegas CEO Gustaf Hagman expressed delight at Pixel Bet’s early progress in a young and ever-changing marketplace.

The Pixel.bet website is already live, with extensive wagering markets for popular esports such as Counter-Strike, Dota 2, Fortnite, League of Legends and Overwatch.
