Boyd Gaming announced partnership with Las Vegas Raiders

Latest NFL betting news

Boyd Gaming just entered into an exclusive partnership with the Las Vegas Raiders and Allegiant Stadium. The gaming company announced on Friday that the agreement would make it the “official and exclusive” local gaming partner of the NFL franchise as well as its home field.

Boyd Gaming will also receive the status of the “founding partner” at the stadium. This gives the casino operator “prominent signage” in addition to branding in the entire venue. The company will be allowed to apply both its brand and its Las Vegas-area casino brands to the stadium’s upper deck west side area. Boyd Gaming made the deal public during a Friday morning news conference held in The Orleans.

The operator’s president and CEO, Keith Smith, released a statement commending the Raiders for its positive impact on the city’s reputation since it arrived in Las Vegas.

“Since arriving in Las Vegas, the Raiders have greatly enhances and strengthened our city’s reputation as the entertainment and sports capital of the world, giving fans across the country another reason to visit Southern Nevada,” Smith said.

“The Raiders have been equally committed to our community off the field, giving back generously to nonprofit organizations and charitable causes across the Las Vegas valley.”

The gaming company will also be a presenting partner in one of the NFL franchise’s yearly home games. The organization further revealed that the Raider’s in-session show held each week would be “presented by Boyd.”

Smith likewise said both brands would collaborate on regular customer promotions in addition to advertisements and communications. He added that fan activations like Raiders events would be held at Boyd properties.

“Having those 65,000-plus fans here every weekend for Raiders’ home games, it’s tremendous. Our fans from around the country, because we have casinos in 10 other states, come into Las Vegas just to see their team playing the Raiders,” the Boyd CEO revealed.

Smith disclosed that the parties had been working on the partnership for years.

Sandra Douglass Morgan, Raiders president, also commented on the partnership, stating that the NFL franchise was proud to collaborate with Boyd Gaming. She added that via the partnership, better experiences, and activations would be granted to Raider Nation.

“We are proud to partner with Boyd Gaming, who share our values of integrity and commitment to community,” Morgan declared.

“We know that with this respected partner, we will be able to provide Raider Nation with even more exciting activations and experiences.”

When discussing the reason for the partnership, both parties made mention of their shared community values. Smith, however, opted not to mention any philanthropic projects they were working on at the moment.

Morgan also spoke about her connection to Boyd as a UNLV’s William S. Boyd School of Law alumna. She revealed that she has been aware of the company for years, in addition to the philanthropic contributions of its founding family to the region. According to Morgan, the partnership would help establish the team further into the identity of Las Vegas.

“When I started, (team owner) Mark Davis told me that he wants to be woven into the fabric of this community,” the Raiders President disclosed.

“That is something that is very near and dear to my heart as I grew up here. We want people to think of the Raiders when they think of Las Vegas.”

Besides Boyd Gaming, the Raiders have marketing deals with several local gaming brands. These include MGM Resorts International, Caesars Entertainment, and Wynn Resorts. The NFL franchise also has ties with California’s San Manuel Band of Mission Indians. Every one of its gaming operator partners, Boyd included, has been made an Allegiant Stadium founding partner designee.

Collaborating with Boyd is beneficial to the Raiders in several ways, one of which has to do with the operator’s multiple casinos in Las Vegas that locals frequent. Boyd’s venues in downtown Las Vegas also attract visitors worldwide.

Additionally, seven of the nine states, besides Nedava, where the gaming company operates, are homes to NFL squads. This could allow Boyd’s Allegiant Stadium advertising to reach NFL fans outside Las Vegas.
