Friday, September 19 – 8:30pm CEST – MHPArena
Stuttgart’s pressing and wing overloads will stress a St. Pauli defense that concedes space between the lines. St. Pauli can threaten in transitions, but Stuttgart’s sustained territory and chance volume point to a narrow home win.
Saturday, September 20 – 3:30pm CEST – Weserstadion
Expect a slow, physical game with many fouls and set pieces. Freiburg are organized and hard to break down, and Werder Bremen rely on crosses. Both of these squads have scored in each of their three matches.
Saturday, September 20 – 3:30pm CEST – WWK ARENA
Augsburg are direct, strong on set pieces, and usually better at home. Mainz fight, but they struggle to create big chances away from home. In a tight game, the safer call is on the hosts with insurance.
Saturday, September 20 – 3:30pm CEST – PreZero Arena
Hoffenheim leave space at the back, and Bayern Munich’s offensive weapons can punish that. Bayern usually create several clear chances and can outscore mistakes. A Bayern win and lots of goals are very likely.
Saturday, September 20 – 3:30pm CEST – Volksparkstadion
Hamburger SV attack with width and crosses often, which suits their home style. FC Heidenheim can counter, but they concede territory on the road. Hamburger’s pressure should tell over the 90 minutes.
Saturday, September 20 – 6:30pm CEST – Red Bull Arena
RB Leipzig press high and attack fast. Köln work hard but struggle to build away from home. If Leipzig score first, they should control the match; however, Koln have shown they can score against anyone.
Sunday, September 21 – 3:30pm CEST – Deutsche Bank Park
Eintracht Frankfurt will control the ball and Union Berlin will sit deep and wait for set pieces. Frankfurt will be looking to rebound from their 3-1 loss against Bayer Leverkusen last week, so expect a strong home performance.
Sunday, September 21 – 5:30pm CEST – BayArena
Bayer Leverkusen move the ball quickly and create cut-backs. Borussia Mönchengladbach can counter, but they leave gaps. Coming off a strong win last week, Leverkusen should make more big chances and pull clear at home.
Sunday, September 21 – 7:30pm CEST – SIGNAL IDUNA PARK
Borussia Dortmund usually push the pace at home and create through the wings. Wolfsburg can score on breaks, but Dortmund’s pressure should win out. Expect goals at both ends, with the hosts edging it.
