The 2025 Catalan MotoGP Grand Prix is set up for a thrilling showdown after Álex Márquez stunned the field with a brilliant 1:37.536 in qualifying to secure pole position at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. The Ducati rider now heads into Sunday’s race (September 7) as the narrow -125 favorite with top sportsbooks, looking to convert his P1 start into a second win of the season — and keep the momentum rolling in front of a home crowd.
Marc Márquez, who starts from the outside of the front row in P3, remains right in the mix at +115. The eight-time world champ was slightly off the pace on Saturday but has the racecraft and tire management to strike when it counts.
Fabio Quartararo surprised many by grabbing P2 in qualifying and will launch from the middle of the front row. At odds of +1400, the Frenchman is chasing his first win of the year — and could be dangerous if Yamaha’s race pace holds up.
Fabio Di Giannantonio starts sixth and continues to offer sneaky value at +1400, while Pedro Acosta lines up P5 and holds at +900 after a steady but unspectacular run in Q2.
Further back, Johann Zarco and Ai Ogura both cracked the top eight, while Marco Bezzecchi has work to do from 12th on the grid. Francesco Bagnaia, a long way down the order after a poor Q1 session, is listed as a massive +25000 outsider heading into race day.
Álex Márquez to win
The younger Márquez is in top form after securing pole and has the pace to convert that into a win. Backed by Ducati horsepower and growing confidence, the -125 price reflects the momentum he’s bringing into Sunday.
Fabio Quartararo to win
P2 on the grid is a huge result for Quartararo, who’s shown flashes of brilliance this season. If he can get the hole shot and manage tire wear, the +1400 tag offers serious upside for a hometown hero moment.
Fabio Di Giannantonio to win
Starting from sixth and showing solid one-lap speed, Diggia could be a surprise package. With a clean launch and the right tire call, he’s well worth a punt at +1400.
