England are set to build on their Matchday 1 win when they welcome Scotland to Wembley Stadium on Friday night as part of Group D play at Euro 2020. BettingPlanet brings you the best bets for what is sure to be a heated clash between these two arch-rivals.

EURO 2020 England vs Scotland match analysis

Gareth Southgate’s England return to Wembley following a 1-0 win over Croatia to open their campaign. The game may not have reached the heights of the 2018 FIFA World Cup semi-final between the two sides, but Three Lions fans would have been happy to walk away with the three points following Raheem Sterling’s second-half winner. There was plenty of controversy prior to kickoff when Southgate selected Kieran Trippier at left-back instead of one of Luke Shaw or Ben Chilwell, and despite the uproar he may stick with the same 11 that got the job done last weekend.

Scotland are up against it heading into Matchday 2 of Euro 2020 following a disappointing 2-0 defeat to the Czech Republic at home. Their chances were dealt a cruel blow when the Czech striker Patrik Schick netted a goal from 50 yards out, leaving David Marshall sprawled in the back of his own net. Scotland had their fair share of chances, but Czech Republic keeper Tomas Vaclik did enough to keep them at bay.

England vs Scotland EURO 2020 betting predictions

Total goals: Over 3.5

Having left Wembley on Matchday 1 with just one goal against Croatia, we expect the Three Lions will be looking to flex their muscles against Scotland. England captain Harry Kane failed to get his name on the scoresheet against the Croats, so he will be looking to make amends on Friday night. With attacking weapons like Kane, Raheem Sterling, Phil Foden and Marcus Rashford, with Jack Grealish and Dominic Calvert-Lewin on the bench, this English line-up is loaded with talent and should make a statement with at least four goals against the Scots.

Over 3.5 total goals

Anytime goalscorer: Phil Foden

English fans held their collective breath when Phil Foden had the ball in Croatia’s penalty box in the sixth minute of the game, only for his shot to ricochet off the post and back into play. With Scotland expected to play three at the back, Foden should have plenty of chances to get in behind their defence from the right wing. We think a Foden goal against Scotland is inevitable, and the odds of +200 or more for him to do so look too good to refuse.

Phil Foden anytime goalscorer
