Free EPL betting picks and predictions for Sunday and Monday’s games in Matchweek 1 of the 2023/24 English Premier League season.
The English Premier League’s opening week is quickly approaching. Powerhouses like Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United will be in action this Sunday and Monday on what promises to be an entertaining slate of games. Here are our free EPL betting picks.
After yet another tumultuous transfer window filled with rumours, Harry Kane is still at Tottenham. And that means he will be scoring goals. Harry Kane has nine consecutive seasons with at least 17 Premier League goals, and if he stays at Spurs throughout this campaign, he should make it 10. Kane is clearly Tottenham’s star man in attack and has plenty of playmakers behind him to feed him goalscoring opportunities. While this game will be tricky for Spurs, Brentford shouldn’t be able to completely shut them out, and Kane at plus money to score is always a strong bet.
Two of the EPL’s biggest clubs will be hoping to bounce back from a down season, and both teams will be filled with optimism. That being said, Chelsea cannot be trusted. They finished 12th last year, and while they made a ton of changes in the summer transfer window, their main signing, Christopher Nkunku, will miss this game through injury. This opens up a weak spot in their midfield that Liverpool should be able to capitalise on. And with Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nuñez, and new signing Dominik Szobozslai, they have the attackers to finish any good chances that may fall their way.
Manchester United are back with something to prove, and that means their star attacker Marcus Rashford will be banging in goals. He is coming off his greatest season, where he scored 17 goals across 35 Premier League appearances. And all of United’s transfer moves mean that Rashford should continue his role as the Red Devils’ talisman. He starts the season with a great matchup against Wolves, who conceded 58 goals last season and now look weaker after losing key defensive midfielder Ruben Neves and centre-back Nathan Collins in the transfer window.
