Leg 1 – Everton vs Chelsea

Saturday, December 7 – 12:30pm GMT – Goodison Park, Liverpool

Everton will be hoping that a change of manager will usher in a new beginning at the club. Marco Silva was sacked following Everton’s 5-2 drubbing in the Merseyside derby on Wednesday night, a result that left the Toffees third from bottom and staring down the barrel of a relegation fight.

After two successive defeats to Manchester City and West Ham United, Chelsea returned to winning ways with a midweek 2-1 result over Aston Villa to hold steady in fourth place. The Blues have looked solid against lesser teams this year, but the changing of the guard at Goodison Park could be a shot in the arm for Everton.

Prediction: Both teams to score – -166.67 at Bovada

Leg 2 – Bournemouth vs Liverpool

Saturday, December 7 – 3pm GMT – Vitality Stadium, Bournemouth

Leaders Liverpool will be hoping to maintain their impressive run of form when they face Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth this Saturday. The Reds cruised past Everton in the Merseyside derby to remain at the summit of the table on 43 points, eight points ahead of second-placed Leicester City.

Bournemouth, on the other hand, sit 14th on the table having churned out just a single win in their last five games. It seems unlikely that the Cherries will pose much of a problem for a Liverpool outfit that has dropped points only once in 15 games this season.

Prediction: Liverpool to win – -238.1 at Bovada

Leg 3 – Tottenham Hotspur vs Burnley

Saturday, December 7 – 3pm GMT – Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, London

Jose Mourinho suffered his first defeat since taking on the Spurs job when his side went down 2-1 to Manchester United on Wednesday night. That defeat saw Tottenham drop to eighth on the table, where they lie nine points outside the top four.

Burnley were trounced 4-1 by Manchester City during the week to tumble to 12th on the standings on 18 points. Sean Dyche’s side isn’t on the best of runs and Mourinho’s Spurs should bounce back to victory this weekend.

Prediction: Tottenham Hotspur to win – -263.16 at Bovada

Leg 4 – Manchester City vs Manchester United

Saturday, December 7 – 5:30pm GMT – Etihad Stadium, Manchester

Man City ran riot last campaign, completing the double over their cross-city rivals on course to winning the title. However, the reigning champions have not played to their potential this season and could fall as far as 14 points behind leaders Liverpool if they drop another game this weekend.

For all of United’s problems this season, they are the only team to match Liverpool and have beaten Chelsea, Leicester and Spurs. The Red Devils rise for the occasion, something Guardiola and company will have to be wary of in this intriguing derby clash.

Prediction: Both teams to score – -125 at Bovada

Leg 5 – Aston Villa vs Leicester City

Sunday, December 8 – 2pm GMT – Villa Park, Birmingham

Leicester City will be hoping to secure a record eighth straight win in the Premier League when they face Aston Villa this weekend. The Foxes are second only to Liverpool on the table and hold an equal-best goal difference of +26 thanks to a miserly defence that has conceded only nine goals all season.

Leicester shouldn’t have any problems blitzing past Aston Villa, who sit two places above the drop zone with one win from their last five games. While the Villans have troubled some of the better teams, the Foxes have shown they can win ugly when required.

Prediction: Leicester to win – -120.48 at Bovada
