Round 16 of the 2025 Formula 1 season brings us to the legendary Monza circuit for the Italian Grand Prix, where Max Verstappen returned to form with a flying lap to secure pole position. He will line up ahead of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, with just 0.190 seconds covering the top three. The race begins at 3pm local time in Monza (CEST) / 11pm AEST Sunday.
Max Verstappen delivered when it mattered most at the Temple of Speed, setting a blistering 1:18.792 in Q3 to secure his first pole since early in the season. The Dutchman looked composed across all three qualifying segments and now finds himself in the best possible position to chase another Monza win.
Lando Norris starts from P2 after a strong final sector, while Oscar Piastri was just a tenth further back in P3. Both McLarens have looked fast in low-downforce trim and will be confident heading into Turn 1 — a section known for drama, especially with three contenders so close on pace.
Behind them, Charles Leclerc will start from fourth, boosted by the passionate Tifosi. The Ferrari driver has shown strong qualifying form all weekend and will be eyeing the podium — or more — at his home race.
After a front-row lockout from McLaren, Lando Norris leads the market with top sportsbooks for the Italian GP at Monza, with Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri closely priced behind. Ferrari and Mercedes trail at longer odds.
