F1 Bahrain 2025

Formula 1 heads back to the Middle East this week as the 2025 season continues under the lights at the Sakhir International Circuit in Bahrain.

The Grand Prix will begin at 6pm local time on Sunday, April 13, which is 11am ET / 8am PT for American viewers. Qualifying takes place from 7pm Sunday (12pm ET / 9am PT).

The Bahrain Grand Prix is set to deliver another strategic showdown, with tyre wear, race pace, and pit timing likely to shape the result.

After four rounds, McLaren are the team to beat. Lando Norris leads the championship on 62 points, just one ahead of Max Verstappen on 61, with Oscar Piastri right behind on 49. McLaren’s form puts pressure on Red Bull, Mercedes, and Ferrari to step up.

Red Bull remain in contention despite some braking issues exposed at Sakhir in the past. Verstappen showed his class with a win in Japan, but Bahrain’s heavy braking zones could be a concern.

Mercedes are trending upwards, with George Russell scoring consistent points and rookie Kimi Antonelli continuing to impress. Ferrari, meanwhile, will be hoping for better tyre management and more consistent pace from Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton in the warmer conditions.

Bahrain GP betting predictions

Piastri has been fast in every race this season and is building momentum. His sector times have been exceptional –particularly in sectors two and three — but he’s just missed pole due to slower starts. If he nails a full lap in Q3, he’s a genuine threat to start from the front and take the win.

Russell has been rock-solid for Mercedes in 2025 and was unlucky not to qualify higher in Japan after struggling with tyre temperatures. If Mercedes can unlock their one-lap pace, Russell could start in the first two rows and challenge for a podium.

Tsunoda is under pressure to perform at Red Bull. He had a quiet debut, but with a race under his belt, he should now be more comfortable with the car. A top-six finish is realistic if he qualifies well and stays clean in the opening laps.
