Carolina and Philadelphia both play on Sunday, so expect backup goalie Antti Raanta to start for the Hurricanes and Martin Jones to go for Philly. Raanta already has one win over Philadelphia this season, allowing three goals in that game, and Jones has taken a loss, allowing four goals. The goaltending advantage for Carolina improves considerably if both backup goalies play in this one, as does the likelihood that six or more goals are scored.

Take Carolina on the moneyline, and consider betting the over, which pays -125. Just one of the three games these two teams have played resulted in fewer than six goals being scored. Arizona Coyotes @ Boston Bruins NHL Betting

The biggest favorite of the day is Boston to win at home over Arizona. The Coyotes are on an impressive four-game winning streak, scoring 22 goals in their last three games. That’s vastly better than their 2.54 goal-per-game average this season. Expect them to come back to Earth on Saturday.

The Bruins average just 2.69 goals allowed per game, and in 27 games, Boston goaltender Jeremy Swayman has a miniscule 2.06 goals against average. Boston’s other goaltender, Linus Ullmark, has also been stingy this season and already has a win over Arizona, allowing just one goal in that game. Detroit Red Wings @ Calgary Flames NHL Betting

Calgary hosts the Red Wings, who’ve lost four straight. Calgary has been a rock at home (17-5-5), and Detroit has been anything but a rolling stone on the road (8-15-3). Detroit also has five players listed on the injury report.

Although Calgary’s points leader Johnny Gaudreau is also listed as day-to-day, he has been since March 9 and managed to log three points in a win over Tampa Bay on March 10.
