Check out our NRL Round 27 betting preview, featuring expert tips and best bets for every game.
The final week of the 2025 NRL regular season is here, and the playoff race is coming right down to the wire.
With the Broncos, Roosters, Dolphins, and Sea Eagles all battling for crucial spots on the ladder, Round 27 promises drama, upsets, and season-defining moments.
Here’s our complete rugby league betting preview with expert picks for every game in Round 27 of the NRL 2025 season.
Thursday, September 4 – 7:50pm AEST – Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane
The Broncos need this win to lock in a top-four finish, and they’ll lean on the red-hot form of Reece Walsh and Payne Haas. Melbourne get Jahrome Hughes, Xavier Coates, and Eliesa Katoa back, but with second place already secured, their intensity could drop. Brisbane’s desperation and home-field edge make them the play in what feels like a finals preview.
Friday, September 5 – 6pm AEST – 4 Pines Park, Sydney
Manly’s slim playoff hopes rest on a miracle, needing a huge win plus help from other results. Tom Trbojevic and Daly Cherry-Evans remain the key threats, but the Warriors’ structure and Roger Tuivasa-Sheck’s late-season surge could spoil the party. With Andrew Webster’s men still playing for pride, the value sits with the visitors in a close contest.
Friday, September 5 – 8pm AEST – Allianz Stadium, Sydney
It’s win-or-go-home for the Roosters. Sam Walker returns to ignite an attack that dropped 40 points in Melbourne last week, while Mark Nawaqanitawase is in blistering finishing form. Souths get Cameron Murray back, but their defense remains shaky. With everything on the line, expect the Roosters to roll and book their playoff ticket in style.
Saturday, September 6 – 3pm AEST – WIN Stadium, Wollongong
The Dragons limp into the final week with little to play for, while Penrith reload after resting most of their stars. Nathan Cleary, Isaah Yeo, and Dylan Edwards are all back as Ivan Cleary gets his side tuned up for the NRL finals. The Panthers’ class should be far too much for St George in a professional warm-up performance.
Saturday, September 6 – 5:30pm AEST – Cbus Super Stadium, Gold Coast
Des Hasler’s final game as Titans coach gives the Gold Coast plenty of motivation. AJ Brimson’s move to center and Keano Kini’s return at fullback add spark, while Tino Fa’asuamaleaui leads from the front. The Tigers have improved this year, but this looks like a farewell win for Hasler and a chance for the Titans to dodge the wooden spoon.
Saturday, September 6 – 7:35pm AEST – Accor Stadium, Sydney
The Bulldogs handled Penrith’s reserves last week but now face a Sharks squad pushing for a top-four spot. Nicho Hynes is still the difference-maker, and Jesse Ramien’s return strengthens their strike power. With Canterbury locked into third and unlikely to go all-out, Cronulla’s hunger and urgency should get them over the line.
Sunday, September 7 – 2pm AEST – Kayo Stadium, Redcliffe
The Raiders have already secured the minor premiership and are resting a stack of starters. That opens the door wide for the Dolphins, who still have a mathematical shot at sneaking into the NRL finals. With everything to play for, expect the Phins to take full advantage and pile on the points.
Sunday, September 7 – 4:05pm AEST – CommBank Stadium, Sydney
Parramatta’s late-season surge continued with an upset in New Zealand, and they’ll want to close out 2025 on a high. Dylan Brown is back in the halves for his farewell game before joining Newcastle next year, and Mitchell Moses should steer the Eels to a comfortable victory. The Knights’ struggles look set to continue in a lopsided finale.
