Pai Gow and progressive games show Vegas still place to win big

An unsuspecting guest got lucky while playing Face Up Pai Gow video poker at The Venetian, Las Vegas, in the last weekend of October.

The luxury hotel and casino resort reported a player won over USD $1 million after placing a $5 side bet that made them eligible for the progressive jackpot.

In a typical Pai Gow game, players are dealt seven cards, of which after a draw, they must play a two-card low hand and a five-card high hand.

To claim the victory, the player was dealt a seven-card straight flush and a joker, resulting in a huge win. Further details of the game were not released by the casino. \

The winner of the jackpot prize, also a Las Vegas local, remains anonymous.

This latest win comes soon after a $3 million jackpot prize was won at The Venetian. About a month ago, an unnamed player got lucky while playing the Dancing Drums Explosion slot game by SG Gaming. The winner won prize money of $2,835,768 after hitting the Fu Babies bonus. In this case too, the player’s identity was not revealed and the details of the win were withheld.

News of big wins continues to be reported from Las Vegas casinos.

In October, an unnamed guest won a Mega Progressive jackpot of $496,675.95 while playing Three Card Poker at Bally’s, Las Vegas.

Also, in July, Sunset Station reported a Las Vegas local winning a jackpot of $1,262,132.28 with only three spins while playing the Wheel of Fortune slot game by IGT. This will be the second major win reported from the venue after a $689,000 jackpot on the same slot was announced before.

Another player hit it big on Wheel of Fortune at the Fremont Hotel in Las Vegas. In January, a visitor from Hawaii won the $1.1 million jackpot while playing Wheel of Fortune Super Times Pay 2x 3x 4x 5x slot machine.

At the same Fremont Hotel in March, a woman from Hawaii went home with the mouthwatering prize of $1,316,725 after hitting a progressive jackpot while playing the Wheel of Fortune Gold Spin Deluxe Triple Stars.
