The Philadelphia Eagles are looking to make it three wins on the bounce as they head to the Twin Cities to face the Minnesota Vikings this weekend.
The Eagles have won two games in a row and with the Dallas Cowboys losing two in a row Philly is now tied with Dallas atop the NFC East. They are coming off a dominating defensive game in beating the New York Jets 31-6 and they are slight NFL betting underdogs on the road facing Minnesota.
The Vikings have won two of their last three games and they have won both of their home games this season. They are also coming off a dominant win over a New York team, having beaten the Giants 28-10 in their last game.

Every win is precious for Minnesota in the killer NFC North division, where every team is currently over .500.
In their win over the Jets the Eagles did not light it up on offense, but they held New York to only 128 total yards. Their defense scored two touchdowns and they had a whopping 10 sacks in the game.
Carson Wentz has not put up big numbers this season but has been solid and in the Jets game had 189 passing yards with a touchdown and was not intercepted. He has dealt with an injured wide receiving corps, but Alshon Jeffery is back and DeSean Jackson, who has not played since Week 2, may be back for this game.
Jordan Howard rushed for 62 yards in the win over the Jets and had 87 rushing yards in the previous game.
The Vikings have the league’s fourth ranked defense, which is a balanced one ranking fourth in the league in run defense and ninth in pass defense.
In their win over the Giants in their last game the Vikings were solid on both sides of the ball racking up 490 yards and holding New York to only 211 yards.
Kirk Cousins has been on the hot seat for his less than stellar play this season but lit up the Giants to the tune of 308 yards with a couple of touchdowns and no interceptions. Adam Thielen had 130 receiving yards and the league’s second leading rusher in Dalvin Cook had 133 yards, averaging 6.3 yards per carry, and also had six catches for 86 yards.
The Eagles have a Jekyll and Hyde type of defense only ranking 27th in the league defending the pass but first in defending the run. That run defense will be tested in this game by Cook and Philadelphia has not faced one team this season that has a great ground attack.

Philadelphia @ Minnesota NFL betting predictions
Minnesota Vikings -3 at -119.05 with Bovada
As you can see above, the betting trends point to the Eagles in this game and they are the hotter team. However, at home the Vikings will play well on both sides of the ball and the Philly defense will not be able to contain Cook. This will be a good game, with the Vikings doing enough to win and cover the spread.
