The red-hot Pittsburgh Steelers head to Cleveland to take on the Browns in a big AFC North matchup this Thursday night in Week 11 of the 2019 NFL season.
The Steelers have won four in a row and five of their last six games after a 0-3 start. Their last two wins have come against that are over .500 for the season in the Indianapolis Colts and the Los Angeles Rams
The Pittsburgh defense has played especially well during the team’s winning streak. In the 17-12 win over the Rams in their last game, the Steelers D forced four turnovers and only allowed five points in the last three quarters.
The Browns snapped a four-game losing streak in their last fixture, playing solid defense in their 19-16 win over the Buffalo Bills.
If the season ended today the Steelers would be the sixth seed in the AFC. Even though the Browns are 3-6, they are still in the playoff race as well.
This is the first game between these teams this season and in two weeks these divisional rivals will face off again in Pittsburgh, where they tied last season. This season the Browns are 1-3 at home and the Steelers are 1-2 on the road.
The Steelers had fewer overall yards (306-273) than the Rams in their last outing, but the four turnovers were key and they intercepted Jared Goff late to ice the game.
Mason Rudolph was 22/38 for 242 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions against the Rams, while Jason Washington led the way with 90 receiving yards and a score. Rudolph has passed for at least 242 yards in two of his last three starts, while his last five starts have produced seven touchdowns and only two interceptions.
Although Pittsburgh beat the Rams, their run game failed to show up and only delivered 42 rushing yards. Leading RB James Conner has missed the last two games with a shoulder injury and is a question mark for this Thursday night game.
The Browns rank seventh in the league in pass defense but only rank 27th in run defense, even though they only allowed 84 rushing yards in their last game.
The Browns had good balance (221 passing yards, 147 rushing yards) in their win over the Bills and while the team has been killed by turnovers this season, they did not commit any in the game.
Baker Mayfield was 26/38 for 238 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions and Jarvis Landry led the Browns with 97 receiving yards and had a touchdown. Mayfield has more picks (12) than TDs (9), but he has no interceptions in his last two games.
Nick Chubb came up big in the win over Buffalo with 116 rushing yards at 5.8 yards per carry. The third-ranked rusher in the NFL this year, Chubb has rushed for at least 116 yards in three of his last four games.
The Steelers’ defense has been solid in the last few games, pushing them to 12th in the NFL in pass defense and 17th in run defense.

Steelers @ Browns betting predictions
Cleveland Browns -2.5 at -111.11 with Bovada
While the Steelers are hot, they only have one road win on the season. The Browns only have one home win, but they will double that total in this game. Mayfield and Chubb will play well and the Cleveland defense will stand up as the Browns cover the spread and end the Steelers’ four-game win streak.
