Rams vs. Saints NFL 2019 Conference exotics, form, analysis & betting
Betting Line: Saints -3.5
Over/Under: 57 at Bovada
After overcoming the Dallas Cowboys on their home turf in their NFL Divisional Playoff round, the LA Rams will hit the road in pursuit of Super Bowl glory when they face the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.
The Rams have won three on a row and found some of their best form of the year at the right time last week, notching 273 rushing yards, while holding Dallas to only 50 rushing yards.
LA can get into a shootout with New Orleans on Sunday, but they may have a better chance to win if they can run the ball and keep Drew Brees and the Saints’ offense on the sidelines.

The Saints climbed back from an early 14-0 deficit in their win over the Philadelphia Eagles last week in the playoffs. They had a solid game on both sides of the ball and the game was close, but New Orleans came up with a late interception to seal the win. Brees had a good game as did the ground attack and facing the Rams if they do the same they will likely win.
This season Saints are 6-2 at home and the Rams are 6-2 on the road.

This season the Rams are 8-8-1 ATS and they have an Over/Under record of 9-6 and the Saints are at 10-7 ATS with an Over/Under record of 7-10.
These teams met this season in New Orleans where the Saints beat the Rams 45-35 handing L.A. their first loss of the season.
In their last game, the Rams were at home and they beat the Dallas Cowboys 30-22. They had 459 total yards while holding America’s Team to 308 yards.
Jared Goff did not have a big game against the Cowboys passing for 168 yards with no touchdowns and no interceptions. He has the weapons in the passing game, but if the Rams can run like the last game they will be in good shape. They racked up 273 rushing yards with C.J. Anderson rushing for 123 yards and Gurley rushing for 115 yards. Anderson has rushed for 422 yards in his last three games and was not even signed to the team until later in the season. Gurley had not ended the season before looking fresh in the Dallas win.
Can the Rams run the ball facing a New Orleans run defense that ranks second in the league? They had less than 100 rushing yards in the regular season loss to New Orleans, but they need to establish the run in this game.
In New Orleans’ win over the Eagles if you look at the stats it looked as if they should have won easily. They outgained Philly 420-250 yards, stuffed the run, and forced two turnovers while only committing one. Brees passed for 301 yards with two touchdowns and one interception and the player L.A. has to contain is star wide receiver Michael Thomas, who had 171 receiving yards in the Cowboys game.
The Rams played solid defense in their win over the Cowboys and, overall. They rank 14th in the league in pass defense and 23rd in run defense.
