NFL Superbowl 50 Betting
THE National Football League (NFL) is a football competition in the United States of America (USA) which is comprised of 32 teams, divided equally between the National Football Conference (NFC) and the American Football Conference (AFC).
The regular season runs for 17 rounds commencing the week after Labour Day (first Monday in September) through until the week after Christmas. Six teams from each conference progress through to the play-offs following the conclusion of the regular season. These teams face each other in a series of knock-out style games until only two teams remain and meet in the Superbowl.
With pre-season action already in full swing, the 2015/2016 NFL season is just around the corner and now is the best time to cash in with futures betting.
All the markets are available at our recommended bookmakers, which include Super Bowl 50 futures, NFL exotics and Jarryd Hayne specials.
The first regular season game takes place on September 11 where the New England Patriots – minus quarterback Tom Brady – will take on the Pittsburgh Steelers.
All the odds for this game and many more are available now, complete with head-to-head betting and points start markets.
Super Bowl 50 betting
This season marks the 50th Super Bowl in NFL history and it is shaping up as one of the most even competitions in many years.
The Seattle Seahawks are the current favourites after losing Super Bowl 49 with a dramatic last-minute interception, but bookmakers are confident they can rebound and they haven’t lost any notable players in the off-season.
The Green Bay Packers and New England Patriots are well favoured in the betting, but both teams are either fighting injury or suspension problems.
This opens the competition up to the likes of the Dallas Cowboys, Denver Broncos and the Indianapolis Colts which are big firmers into $10.
Super Bowl 50 market:
Team | Odds |
---|---|
Seattle Seahawks | $5.50 |
Green Bay Packers | $7 |
New England Patriots | $9 |
Indianapolis Colts | $10 |
Denver Broncos | $12 |
Dallas Cowboys | $19 |
Philadelphia Eagles | $21 at Sportsbet.com.au |
Baltimore Ravens | $21 |
New Orleans Saints | $23 |
San Diego Chargers | $26 |
Pittsburgh Steelers | $26 |
Arizona Cardinals | $26 |
Miami Dolphins | $31 |
Buffalo Bills | $34 |
Atlanta Falcons | $34 |
Kansas City Chiefs | $34 |
Detroit Lions | $34 |
Cincinnati Bengals | $34 |
Houston Texans | $41 |
New York Giants | $41 |
Minnesota Vikings | $51 |
Carolina Panthers | $51 |
San Francisco 49ers | $51 |
St Louis Rams | $51 |
Chicago Bears | $67 |
Tampa Bay Buccaneers | $67 |
New York Jets | $67 |
Cleveland Browns | $67 |
Jacksonville Jaguars | $101 |
Washington Redskins | $101 |
Oakland Raiders | $151 |
Tennessee Titans | $151 |
There is some great value with some quality teams in the futures market. Teams like the Cincinnati Bengals and Carolina Panthers represent great value at big odds.
There are four teams currently paying over $100, but we can’t seem them winning more than six games, let alone winning the Super Bowl.
NFL division betting markets
There are eight divisions in the NFL and two conferences. With four teams in every division, bookmakers have framed a market for each and this is a great way to make money this season.
The teams don’t need to win their conference or any play-off game, they only need to beat the other three teams in their division, making them popular betting options for multi-bet players.
AFC East | |
---|---|
New England Patriots | $1.67 |
Miami Dolphins | $4 |
Buffalo Bills | $5.50 |
New York Jets | $9.50 |
AFC South | |
Indianapolis Colts | $1.20 |
Houston Texans | $5 |
Jacksonville Jaguars | $19 |
Tennessee Titans | $23 |
AFC North | |
Baltimore Ravens | $2.60 |
Pittsburgh Steelers | $2.80 |
Cincinnati Bengals | $3.10 |
Cleveland Browns | $12 |
AFC West | |
Denver Broncos | $1.53 |
San Diego Chargers | $3.50 |
Kansas City Chiefs | $6 |
Oakland Raiders | $26 |
In the AFC, we like the Miami Dolphins to win their division at $4. The Dolphins made big strides last season and their main rival, the New England Patriots, will be forced to play without Tom Brady for the first three games.
The Colts look like morals at $1.20 and the Bengals are at a value price of $3.10 to win the AFC North. Many people are predicting a big season from the Chargers, so the $3.50 available looks good.
NFC South | |
---|---|
New Orleans Saints | $2.75 |
Atlanta Falcons | $2.88 |
Carolina Panthers | $3.50 |
Tampa Bay Buccaneers | $7.50 |
NFC East | |
Dallas Cowboys | $2.40 |
Philadelphia Eagles | $2.40 |
New York Giants | $4.33 |
Washington Redskins | $15 |
NFC West | |
Seattle Seahawks | $1.30 |
Arizona Cardinals | $6.50 |
San Francisco 49ers | $9.50 |
St. Louis Rams | $9.50 |
NFC North | |
Green Bay Packers | $1.33 |
Detroit Lions | $5 |
Minnesota Vikings | $8 |
Chicago Bears | $10 |
We are favouring the Philadelphia Eagles to win their division. They do face a tough task with the likes of the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Giants, but the Eagles are a fast-paced team that should make the play-offs.
Jarryd Hayne specials
One of the biggest stories in the NFL this year has been that of former Australian NRL player Jarryd Hayne.
Hayne was one of the best players in rugby league and he chased his dream of playing in the NFL, and it looks as though it will come true.
Bookmakers have offered up three markets to bet on.
Jarryd Hayne to play a regular season game – $1.15
Hayne to score a touchdown in an NFL regular season game – $2
They also have a market as to where Hayne will make his debut for the San Francisco 49ers. The current favourite is in Round 1 against the Minnesota Vikings.
Doesn’t play a snap is the second favourite at $6.50 with bookmakers allowing for the possibility that Hayne won’t get selected.
