British Grand Prix betting picks & top odds – MotoGP 2025

Can Marc Marquez extend his MotoGP Championship lead with a win at the 2025 British Grand Prix? See our race preview and top betting tips for Silverstone.

The 2025 MotoGP season rolls on with the highly anticipated British Grand Prix at the world-famous Silverstone circuit this weekend.

Kicking off with Free Practice 1 on Friday at 11:45am BST, the weekend features two races: a 10-lap sprint race on Saturday at 4pm and the 20-lap main race on Sunday at 1pm.

Marc Marquez enters this weekend hoping to extend his lead at the top of the championship standings. He sits on 171 points, ahead of his brother Alex Marquez (149) and Ducati teammate Pecco Bagnaia (120).

Enea Bastianini is the defending champion; however, since it entered the MotoGP calendar in 2010, no rider has won the British Grand Prix more than once. With wet weather expected to play a role once again, don’t rule out another shock result this weekend.

2025 British Grand Prix betting predictions

Based off his form so far this season, Marc Marquez is the obvious selection in this race. The Spaniard has won all six sprint races, while he has taken four of six pole positions. While he doesn’t offer much value at -208.33 with leading online bookmakers, he is a smart pick.

Looking for more value, look toward Spanish rookie Fermin Aldeguer. Coming off a first career podium in Le Mans two weeks ago, Aldeguer is a chance to mix things up at the top. Given Ducati riders have won 21 of the last 22 Grand Prix, and the rain expected throughout the weekend, he is a great outside chance at +2800 with Stake.com.

After a strong start to the season, VR46 Racing’s Franco Morbidelli has fallen off the pace in recent weeks. However, if he can return to the form that delivered top-four placings in each of the first four races, then he shows excellent value for a podium finish at +700 odds.
