Two top-five matches highlight an exciting Bundesliga Matchweek 25 soccer betting card as Beyer Leverkusen visits Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig hosts SC Freiburg. Those two matches along with another intriguing match in Koln vs Hoffenheim are featured in this weekend’s Bundesliga best bets.
Bayern Munich vs Bayer Leverkusen
Bayern Munich (19-1-4) ground out a 1-0 road win over Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday to earn its second straight win since losing 4-2 to VfL Bochum last month. Beyer Leverkusen (13-5-6) improved to 5-1-0 over its last six matches with a 3-0 win at home against Arminia Bielefeld. Leverkusen’s offense is red hot with 19 goals scored over the club’s last five matches including seven goals from Moussa Diaby.
All signs point to this one going OVER the posted total. Prior to its 1-0 win last weekend, Bayern Munich’s previous four games had all produced at least five total goals. Beyer Leverkusen had produced an average of six total goals per game before Saturday’s 3-0 win. And the last meeting between these two clubs had six goals in a 5-1 Bayern Munich victory. In a match that should be a whole lot of fun to watch, we’ll take the OVER 3.75 goals and root for offense.
Over 3.75 total goals
RB Leipzig vs SC Freiburg
RB Leipzig (12-4-8) is finally playing like the top-three contender it was supposed to be this season in recent weeks. Leipzig finished 2021 in 10th place on the Bundesliga table with a 6-4-7 record. The club has surged up to fourth place on the table in 2022 with a 6-0-1 record over its last seven matches. Its only loss over that stretch was a competitive 3-2 loss on the road against Bayern Munich.
SC Freiburg (11-7-6) has won back-to-back games for the first time since October after beating Hertha BSC 3-0 on Saturday one week after beating FC Augsburg 2-1 on the road. The feat isn’t that impressive however coming against two of the four worst teams in the Bundesliga. SC Freiburg was just 3-3-6 in its 12 games prior to those two wins including a 2-1-4 record on the road. It’s hard to see Freiburg beating or drawing RB Leipzig on the road when taking Leipzig’s current form into account.
RB Leipzig to win
Koln vs Hoffenheim
Koln (9-9-6) was forced to settle for a draw in a disappointing 1-1 result on the road against Greuther Furth on Saturday. The club was 5-1-2 over its previous eight matches before that draw with its only losses over that stretch coming against Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig. Hoffenheim (12-4-8) has snapped out of a three-game losing streak with a three-game winning streak, collecting victories over three teams in the bottom half of the table in Arminia Bielefeld, VfL Wolfsburg and VfB Stuttgart.
Hoffenheim cruised to an easy 5-0 win over Koln the last time these two clubs met in October. That came at home though, where Hoffenheim is 8-2-2 with a +14 goal differential, compared to its 4-2-6 record with a -3 goal differential on the road this season. Koln also has some pretty severe home and road splits with a 7-3-2 record and a +6 differential at home against a 2-6-4 record and a -7 differential on the road. We’re guessing that the change of location for this match also leads to a change in the result.
Koln to win
