French Open betting tips

Just four men remain in the 2025 French Open singles draw: Jannik Sinner, Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz, and Lorenzo Musetti. With the men’s semi-finals taking place this Friday at Roland-Garros, we break down the best tennis betting tips — including a +150 punt on the world No.1.

Carlos Alcaraz vs Lorenzo Musetti

Musetti has done extremely well recently, proving that he’s truly blossoming into one of the best players in the world. That’s particularly true when it comes to clay-court tennis, and now he has a chance to make it to his first Grand Slam final.

Getting there would require him to beat Alcaraz, who he has overcome just once in seven meetings. It’s going to be very tough for the Italian, but with his new and improved skillset he can at least keep the clash close.

With online bookmakers setting the total games line at just 32.5, there is value in taking the overs. Three tight sets would make this bet pay, while a four-setter — of which Alcaraz has played three already this tournament — would almost certainly breach the 32.5-game mark.

Jannik Sinner vs Novak Djokovic

Djokovic did extremely well to best Alexander Zverev in four sets on Thursday, playing a very focused match. The Serbian is looking like a different beast in Paris compared to his recent, uninspiring form.

However, Sinner is a much more decisive player with bigger weapons than anyone Djokovic has faced so far. The Italian is not going to make the same mistake of playing passively behind the baseline like Zverev did in the quarter-finals.

Djokovic has also established a trend of not showing up from time to time in big matches. Think of the 2024 Wimbledon final, the 2024 Australian Open semi-final, or even the 2021 US Open final — none of those matches were competitive.

This, combined with question marks over Djokovic’s physicality, makes a bet on Sinner winning heavily the best play.
