The Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers head south of the border to the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City for this Monday night AFC West showdown to cap NFL Week 11.

After a 4-0 start the Chiefs have lost four of their last six games. They got reigning MVP Patrick Mahomes back in their last game, and he was huge, but the defense was bad in the 35-32 loss to the Tennessee Titans.

The Chargers had won two in a row before losing their last game 26-24 to the Oakland Raiders. At 4-6 this may be a must-win game for LA in their first clash with the Chiefs this season.

The Chargers only rank 26th in the league in rushing yards per game, but they may look to pound the rock on the ground against a Chiefs run defense that ranks second to last in the NFL and gave up 225 rushing yards in their last game. On top of that RB Melvin Gordon has played well in his last two games.

The Chiefs outgained the Titans 530 yards to 371 last week, but they could not stop the run and had a potential game-tying field goal blocked in the last seconds. Mahomes did his part, passing for 446 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions. Tyreek Hill had 157 receiving yards and star TE Travis Kelse had 75.

Damien Williams rushed for 77 yards, averaging 4.1 yards per carry. LeSean McCoy, who leads KC in rushing yards, was a healthy scratch for the Titans game after his previous two outings returned only 17 carries and 49 yards.

The Chargers have one of the better pass defenses in the league while only ranking 19th in run defense. Pressuring Mahomes will be key in this game and Joey Bosa (8.5 sacks) and Melvin Ingram III (4.5 sacks) have to play well and get in the KC backfield.

The Chargers had more yards (315-278) than the Raiders in their last game, but they had three turnovers and did not force any. While they only gave up 78 rushing yards, they allowed Oakland RB Josh Jacobs to run for an 18-yard TD run with just over a minute left.

Phillip Rivers passed for 207 yards with three touchdowns in the loss to the Raiders, but he was also picked off twice. Gordon rushed for 108 yards, averaging 4.9 yards per carry.

After struggling for a few games after his holdout, Gordon has rushed for 188 yards in his last two games. He is vital for the Chargers in this game facing a KC run defense that was torched in their last game.

This game is technically a home game for the Chargers, who have failed to cover the spread in four of their last five games against the Chiefs.
