NCAAF betting sites are not giving much of a chance to Notre Dame this weekend even though they are a top-10 team. They face a third-ranked Georgia team that sits top 10 in the nation in points per game and points against per game after three blowout wins.
Notre Dame did not cover the in their opening win over Louisville but did so in their 66-14 win over New Mexico.

Georgia cannot afford a loss at home in this game, as they still have to face Florida and Auburn this season.
This may be the biggest game of the season for the Fighting Irish even though they face a ranked Virginia team in their next game and have to hit the road to take on Michigan.
While their win over New Mexico was a blowout, the team came away with the game some concerns. They did force four turnovers and did not commit any but also were sloppy on penalties that cost them 53 yards. They also gave up 212 rushing yards.

Ian Book was only 15/24 in the win over New Mexico but still passed for 360 yards with five TD and no INT. He has a deep WR corps, but another concern for the Irish is that Book was the leading rusher with 46 rushing yards. He and Tony Jones Jr. lead Notre Dame with 127 rushing yards each, but the Irish will need balance in this game and Jones Jr. has to get it done on the ground.
Georgia are coming off a 55-0 blowout win over Arkansas State. In their three games this season they have outscored their opponents 148-23. The Bulldogs have a couple of Heisman hopefuls in the backfield in QB Jake Fromm and RB D’Andre Swift, who has not seen a lot of action in the last two games after rushing for 147 yards against SEC foe Vanderbilt.

Fromm has not put up big numbers, but he has not had to with the Bulldogs racking up the rushing yards. Still, he has an excellent WR corps and on the season has passed for 601 yards without any interceptions.
Don’t look for Fromm to have a big game in this one, as UGA will punt the run – and why not, considering Notre Dame has given up a combined 461 rushing yards in their first two games?

Sorry, Irish fans – while Notre Dame are currently ranked in the top 10, that will not be the case much longer. The team is good but not great and the Fighting Irish are in for a rude awakening in this game. The Bulldogs will rack up the yards on the ground, while Notre Dame will struggle to defend the run for the third straight game. UGA will also play well on D and will cover the spread even though they are giving up 14 points to a team ranked seventh in the nation.
