About Jaspreet Bumrah

Jaspreet Bumrah made his domestic debut for Gujarat in 2013. He quickly rose to prominence on the domestic circuit by finishing as leading-wicket taker for the side. Due to his unique bowling action, he was bought by IPL franchise the Mumbai Indians in 2013 and acquitted himself well.

His notable performances in the domestic circuit came in the T20 format when he produced match-winning spells for Gujarat in the finals of the 2012-2013 Mohit Kumar Trophy against Punjab. He received his maiden-call up to the national side for the T20 series in Australia on the back of splendid performances produced on the domestic circuit and Indian Premier League.

He was exceptional in his debut T20I game for India against Australia played at the Adelaide Oval. He did not stop there and did well exceedingly well in the 2017 Indian Premier League where the Mumbai Indians clinched their third title against the Rising Pune Supergiants. He was splendid in the finals against Pune to see Mumbai eke out a one-run win to clinch the trophy.
