The Monday after the middle Sunday is known as the biggest day of the year in tennis.
It’s the day when all of the remaining entrants in both the men’s and women’s draws for Wimbledon singles compete.
With 16 players remaining in each draw, there are a lot of high-quality matches to be played. Punters should be looking at John Isner’s poor record in the round of 16, Rafael Nadal’s losses in recent seasons, Milos Raonic’s questionable conditioning and inconsistent return game, and Belinda Bencic’s resurgence.
Parlay tips for Wimbledon, day 7:
Tsitsipas to beat Isner – $2.90
Vesely’s +2.5 set handicap – $2.25
MacDonald game handicap of +4.5 – $2.90
Bencic +4.5 game handicap – $1.92
Combined multi total: $36.32 @ Bovada

Men’s singles: John Isner vs Stefanos Tsitsipas
Stadium starts @ 11:30 AM London time on Monday – third match to be played on Court No. 3
Among the men’s matches to be played on Monday, the match between John Isner and Stefanos Tsitsipas offers the best betting value. Isner enters the match as the favourite but he is not a great best-of-five-set player.
This season marks Isner’s first appearance in the fourth round of Wimbledon. On many occasions at the All England Club, Isner has lost to a player of much worse caliber than Tsitsipas seems to be. The Greek teenager is currently making a case for himself to be considered the biggest talent on tour among the upcoming stars.
When you expand Isner’s Grand Slam record to include all the majors, there was only one time that he managed to survive the fourth round. That came way back in 2011 at the US Open. Overall, he is just 1-7 in the round of sixteen. There would be nothing surprising at all if Isner lost to a teenaged player that is playing as though anything is possible.
Tsitsipas might be unproven due to his age. However, at underdog odds against a proven Grand Slam flop, the Greek player has to be taken. Go with Tsitsipas on the moneyline at $2.90 with 888sport.
Recommendation: Tsitsipas to beat Isner at $2.90 at Betway.
Men’s singles: Rafael Nadal vs Jiri Vesely
Stadium starts @ 1 PM London time on Monday – third match to be played on Centre Court
Jiri Vesely might be trouble for Rafael Nadal to a certain extent. The Czech player has made his second fourth-round appearance at the All England Club. With a good record at the venue, he can’t be considered a huge underdog against Rafa given the Spaniard’s post-2011 history at the venue.
Moneyline odds of $9.00 with 888sport on Vesely have to be considered valuable. Nadal has lost to worse players than Vesely on grass at the All England Club in recent seasons.
However, the safety bet with this match is to take Vesely to win a set. That betting line is available with 888sport via set handicaps. Take Vesely at +2.5 sets, meaning that winning one set of the minimum three to be played is a winner. The odds on that are attractive at $2.25.
Recommendation: Vesely’s +2.5 set handicap at $2.25 with 888sport.
Men’s singles: Milos Raonic vs John Millman
Stadium starts @ 11:30AM London time Monday – second match to be played on Court 12
Milos Raonic isn’t at his very-best tennis right now. The Canadian, a former runner-up from Wimbledon, seems to have lost something with his conditioning relative to past years on tour. He is a player that may survive to the quarters thanks to the Marin Cilic meltdown but there are still some ways to oppose Raonic on Monday.
The Canadian will face Mackenzie MacDonald, a Wimbledon debutant that can’t be unhappy at making the fourth round. The experience advantage is certainly to Raonic’s side and it’s MacDonald that’s more likely to get nervous.
But Raonic, with the exception of the fourth set against Dennis Novak, did not break serve all that well in the third round or second round of Wimbledon. This is true despite the easy competition that he has faced thus far.
The match between MacDonald and Raonic may see a set go the former’s way. Other sets might be lengthy and tiebreakers are by no means off of the table. Take MacDonald with 888sport on game handicaps. An interesting line is available at $2.90 with a handicap of +4.5 games.
Recommendation: MacDonald game handicap of +4.5 @ $2.90 with 888sport.
Women’s singles: Belinda Bencic vs. Angelique Kerber
Court No. 1 @ 1 PM London time
Belinda Bencic can’t be laid off of quite yet, even though she has drawn Angelique Kerber. However, those that back the Swiss player have to be a little more careful than they were in the last two rounds. Handicap lines should be the focus instead of the moneyline.
Kerber is a much different player this season than she was last season. She’s clearly not the player that won two Grand Slams in 2016. However, her results in majors this season are still impressive.
In an upset-riddled Wimbledon tournament, Kerber’s No. 11 seed now implies an appearance in the final. She’s more than capable of stifling Bencic’s run, even as the Swiss player starts to look dangerous again.
But Bencic with a +4.5 game handicap at nearly coin-toss odds with 888sport looks safe. The Swiss player could lose in straight sets by a break in each set and still actually cash in for her backers (ie. a 6-4, 6-4 loss would win with the handicap). Take the helpers with 888sport at odds of $1.92.
Recommendation: Bencic +4.5 game handicap at $1.92 with 888sport.
