The Indianapolis Colts head to Houston in NFL Week 12 to face the Texans in an AFC South matchup where first place in the division is on the line.
The Texans are coming off a bad 41-7 loss to the Baltimore Ravens where they were dominated on both sides of the ball. They had won their previous two games and sit tied with the Colts atop the AFC South.

The Colts had lost two in a row before their last game, which was a 33-13 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. They beat the Texans 30-23 in Indy earlier this season and have covered the spread in five of their last six games facing Houston.
The Colts are led by an offense that ranks fourth in the NFL in rushing yards per game. However, lead RB Marlon Mack, who rushed for 109 yards in the last game, is out for this clash due to a broken hand.

Every game for these teams is important from here on out, as both are being chased by the 5-5 Tennessee Titans and 4-6 Jaguars.
After missing a game through injury, Jacoby Brissett was back under center in Indy’s win over Jacksonville and finished with 148 passing yards, a touchdown and an interception. The team rushed for 264 yards and the run defense also was great, holding Jax to only 29 yards on the ground.
Jonathan Williams came out of nowhere to rush for 116 yards against the Jags. He will be the lead RB for the trip to Texas, as Mack is not only out but Indy’s second-leading rusher, Jordan Wilkins, is also sidelined. Williams came into the Jacksonville game with only one rushing yard on the season.
The Colts will be facing a Houston defense – which ranks 29th against the pass and 13th against the run – that was torched last time out.
The Texans were outgained 491 yards to only 232 in the embarrassing loss to Baltimore, while Deshawn Watson passed for 169 yards with no touchdowns and an interception after passing for five touchdowns with no picks in his previous two games. Carlos Hyde and Duke Johnson combined for 105 yards, with most of those yards coming on a 41-yard run from Hyde.
The Indianapolis defense had given up 42 points in two losses before only giving up 13 in the win over the Jags. Overall, their D ranks 12th in the league against the pass and ninth against the run.
Houston Texans -3.5 at -111.11 with Nags.bet
The betting trends suggest the Colts are the pick, but that is not the case. Houston were thrashed in their last game, but they will bounce back at home with a strong display from their run defense. Indy will miss Mack and Wilkins as the Texans will win and cover to take sole possession of first place in the AFC South.
